~KARLA~
I gasped for air as Jason's fingers tightened around my neck. “Jason… Jason please. I didn't… I didn't do anything" I pleaded as I grabbed onto his hand but he just tightened his fingers around my neck then leaned closer to my ear. “How dare you deny me the right to kiss you?" He murmured into my ear, brushing his lips across my ear lobes making me shiver with disgust. “I'm… I'm sorry, I didn't…" “Your body belongs to me. You belong to me, do you hear that? So if I want to touch you, I can. If I want to kiss you, I can and if I want to fuck you, I fucking can. You have no right to say no, understand?" I nodded immediately. “Yes… I… I understand" He let go of my neck and I fell to the ground, gasping for air. I raised up my head seconds later and my eyes widened when I saw him unzipping his pants. I sat up straight and fought the urge to crawl away from him because if I did that, I'd get the beating of my life and I had already had enough. “Get on your knees, my love" He muttered huskily as he pulled down his trousers but before I could move, there was a knock on the door. “Jason, there's someone here to see you" Jessie, his twin sister's voice came through and I said a silent prayer to the moon goddess. “I'm fucking busy" He boomed and was about to grab me when Jessie spoke again. “It's Leon. He said he has some good news to share with you" Jason froze slightly then let out a sigh before turning to me. He grabbed my face and placed a sloppy kiss on my lips. “I'll be back for you. Be naked and ready for me" He muttered then straightened up while zipping up his pants. As soon as he was out the door, the tears flowed down my cheeks. Jessie immediately ran in and gathered me in my arms. “Shhh, it's okay. It's going to be okay" I pushed her away then glared at her. “It's not going to be okay! I can't live this way. This is not what I signed up for. He's not the man I fell in love with" I cried out as hot tears rolled down my cheeks. I could see the pity in Jessie's eyes and it disgusted me because although she did feel sorry for me, she was her brother's shadow and would never do anything to go against him. “You need to stop getting on his bad side, Karla," I scoffed. “His bad side? Because of him I've lost everything. My family probably thinks I'm dead and my friends could care less because they warned me about him but what did I do? I pushed them all away because of him! Right now, I could care less about getting on his bad side. I just want to get away from here, from him!" I screamed then tried standing up from the ground but groaned and fell back down. “What's wrong?" Jessie questioned as she stared at me with worry in her eyes. “Leave me alone, I'd like to rest now" I muttered and ignored the aching pain in my ankle as I stood up from the ground. I limped over to the bed and sat down with a wince before turning to Jessie. “Leave" She sighed as she stood up. “I'll bring you food and an ice pack for your ankle" She murmured and was about to walk out of the room when I spoke. “I'm escaping tonight" She froze then turned to me with wide eyes. “What? Ho… how?" “You don't need to know that. I just need you to make sure this door isn't closed tonight. I'm begging you" She bit her lower lip. “I don't think this is a good idea. If Jason learns of this…" “He won't unless you tell him, Jessie. I'm not asking you to do much. Just make sure this door is opened tonight. I'll do the rest myself" I frowned at the unsure look on her face. “Look at me, Jessie. If you have any ounce of humanity left in you, you'd help me with this. Your brother is going to kill me one of these days and I don't want to die like this. I refused to die at the hands of him so please, help me" She stared at me for what felt like hours. When I had already given up on the idea, she spoke; “I don't want to be dragged into this but I'll do as you say" I bursted out crying as I ran towards her despite the pain I felt in my ankle. I wrapped my arms around her and hugged her tightly. “Thank you, thank you so much" She let out a sigh and hugged me back tightly. “Just make sure you get away from him. If he gets you back, I can't guarantee your safety and I won't be able to help you then" I nodded then pulled away to stare at her face. “I will escape and never look back" I could see the doubt in her eyes and I couldn't blame her. I had a nagging feeling at the back of my head but I pushed away. I was determined to leave this place and today was that day. I had suffered enough! “I'll go bring you some food to eat" I nodded at her then watched as she walked towards the door. As soon as the hard steel door closed behind her, the room was immediately filled with darkness and a feeling of hopelessness settled in the pit of my stomach. I slowly walked back to bed and curled myself into a ball before letting out a sigh. The tears slipped out of my eyes before I could stop them. I couldn't help but think back on how my life had been so happy. Jason had been the perfect boyfriend but as soon as I turned my back on everyone and went along with him, he turned into this monster I couldn't even recognize. “I'll escape and I'll make sure you experience all that you put me through"...~LEVI~As my fist connected with his jaw, hearing the cracking sound from his bones before he fell to the ground brought a smirk to my face. I wasn't usually the kind of person that indulged violence or liked being involved in one but for some reason… I grabbed the man by the neck and gave him continuous punches on the face before twisting his arm and watching him beg for mercy made me grin. Those who knew me knew this was an unlikely behavior but fighting, it gave me some kind of thrill, a thrill I had never felt before and I reveled in it. I guess at the end of the day, I was in fact my father's son. “It's no surprise here that the Ultimate Mafia King wins again!" The announcers announced as I let go of the man's neck and he fell to the ground, Unconscious. A loud eruption of applause and screams immediately followed as I walked out of the ring to find Sebastian, my younger brother, waiting for me with a towel and a bottle of water in hand. “Why are you here?" I questioned a
~EARLIER THAT NIGHT~~KARLA~ That night, Jason didn't come back to meet me and I couldn't have been happier. Jessie had come by earlier to open the door for me and had told me Jason was busy with work so it was the perfect time for me to escape. I grabbed the bread knife I had kept earlier and held it in my hand as I pushed the door open carefully. It was a large steel door so it made a lot of noise but luckily, no one was there. I did a double take before sprinting through the halls. There was no use wasting time, I needed to get out of here. I halted with a gasp when I saw some men and immediately hid behind a wall as they walked past. “I wonder what's going on? Where did Boss go with the others?" I heard one of them mutter, making me furrow my eyebrows. Jason wasn't here? “I don't know but good riddance we weren't among" Their voices faded and I took a deep breath before peeping to see if anyone else was coming. When I saw no one, I made a run towards the stairs and ran as
~KARLA~ I scoffed in his face then immediately got off him and moved away as fast as I could before giving him the stink eye. “Do I look like a prostitute to you?" I whispered harshly. He sat up slowly with folded arms then his eyes trailed down my body, lingering on my boobs before meeting with my eyes again. “Is that a trick question?" He whispered back and I scoffed. “Look. I'll get out of your hair soon but please, I need a place to hide. They…" I let out a squeal when I heard Jason's voice just in front of the room door. “Search all the rooms immediately. We are not leaving here till she's found" My heart thumped in my chest as I trembled with fear. I turned back to the stranger who was staring at me with an amused look on his face. “Please help me, I'll do anything. If he gets a hold of me, he'll kill me" He tilted his head at me. “Hmmm, that seems like a you problem" I ran up to him and knelt down in front of the bed with my hands clasped together. “Please. Don't you h
I held onto her waist tightly with an arm while my hand was pressed firmly behind her head for support. I turned to the men in front of us with a humorless smile on my face. “Gentlemen, is there a problem?" The guy who I now knew as Jason just kept staring at my arm that was wrapped around her waist with a venomous intent in his eyes. I smirked as I tightened my arms around her. “I asked a question and I expect an answer" I uttered with the same smile on my face which seemed to anger Jason as he suddenly let out a loud growl. “Hand the girl over to me. You do not want to mess with me" I tilted my head with a smirk. “I've heard louder growls, wolf. You don't scare me" He snarled and was about to take a step towards me when my men immediately came running with their guns pointed at Jason and his group. “Take your leave and don't cause a scene, Jason" I muttered slowly and was about to turn around when he howled loudly. “She's mine, I'm not going to let you take her!" I paused in
~KARLA~ After dropping that bombshell on me, I didn't see the stranger for like two days straight and I have been counting because I have nothing else to do with my time. I tried getting some sleep but no matter what, all I see is Jason's angry red eyes glaring down at me. I sighed as I sat up on the bed before letting out a yawn. When was the stranger going to be back for me? I was getting sick of this hospital and the smell. Could he have changed his mind and decided he didn't want the extra baggage I carried with me? I wouldn't blame him though, even I wouldn't want to have anything to do with me. I let out another sigh as I climbed out of the bed. The only reassurance I had that the stranger was coming back was the two hefty guards just standing right outside my door. I tried speaking to them once to ask about the stranger's name but they ignored me like I was air. How rude! So I gave them space and went along with my daily duties of standing by the window and waiting for the
The ride down to the stranger's house was eerily quiet. He and I were the only ones in his car which I was grateful for just in case I had another melt down. I knew he could feel my eyes on him with the way he kept glancing at the rear view mirror but not once did I look away. After a while, he sighed. “Do you want something?" He questioned and I immediately nodded. “Did I offend you? If I did, I didn't mean to" He sighed again. “You didn't offend me" “Then why are you being so grumpy all of a sudden?" He was quiet for a while then he let out a chuckle and some sort of happiness filled my heart. Gosh, I need to stop feeling all these things for this man that I didn't even know. For one, he could even be worse than Jason and this nice Guy was just a facade. “I've never been called grumpy before," I pouted. “Well you should be called grumpy because you have been acting grumpy ever since we met. Is it because of me? Am I the probl
~LEVI~ Hearing Karla scream had been the last thing I expected when I walked into the house. Lucien had nagged me out of my room and forced me all the way over to sign some documents which I did sluggishly and just as I was about to leave, I heard her. Without thinking, I rushed towards her room and when I saw her on the ground, my eyes widened. Before I could rush towards her, she stood up from the ground and wrapped her arms around me so tightly like I was her only source of hope. “He's here, you can't let him take me. I'm begging you" She muttered and I tightened my arms around her as she shook with fear before turning to Sebastian. “Check out the window, Sebastian" Sebastian nodded then walked towards the window and glanced down. We all knew there was no chance in hell that Jason was in the vicinity but just to Calm Karla down, I asked him to check. “There's no one there" She immediately raised her head and shook it frantically while staring up at me.
~KARLA~ “Home sweet home I guess" I heard Levi mutter as I glanced around his huge mansion. It wasn't as big as the castle outside but it was definitely much more beautiful and modernized on the inside but something was off, it felt… cold. “You are the only one who stays here?" I questioned as I turned to him and he nodded. “Yes. The cleaners and cooks come early in the morning and leave before I wake up so technically, I'm here all by myself" He murmured then flashed me a tight lipped smile which made me frown. “Don't you get lonely?" He stared at me for a while then chuckled. “Well I am used to loneliness since I've been alone for the most part of my life and now, I just find comfort in it. Come on, let's get you to bed" He murmured and tried pulling me towards the stairs but I stayed rooted to my spot, causing him to turn back to me with a confused look on his face. “What is…" Before he could complete his sentence, I ran straight into his arms, wr
