I sighed then leaned down and kissed away the tears on Karla's face.

“Karla please, stop doing this to yourself" I muttered and she sighed.

“I still can't believe she killed herself just to save me and now your brother is depressed" Kiara had assured me that her heightened emotions were because of her pregnancy hormones but it was clear that Anastasia's death had dampened everyone's mood even though it happened a week ago.

Zane and Kiara hardly came by anymore because Kiara said Zane was very down and couldn't stop blaming himself for what happened while Sebastian and Jessica tried their best to comfort Lucien but that didn't seem to be working.

He was slipping into depression especially since Anastasia's body was taken away and he couldn't attend her burial because since she was still the Queen of witches, only a few witches could perform her burial ceremony.

Daniel and Heather had brought the kids with them and when they heard the news, they had been devastated as well but it w
