Chapter 21 Masquerade Party

Gloria's POV

Late into the night, just as I had become deeply engrossed in my work, I received an unexpected call from Bianca.

"Hey, how's it going?"

Bianca's voice resonated from the other end of the line.

"Not too bad. What's going on?"

"Well, here's the deal: there's a masquerade party tonight that I thought you might want to check out."

Even though I had never really been fond of such events, tonight seemed like a good opportunity to unwind for a bit.
