Chapter 30

When it was time for the meal, Dylan woke up, but his face was pale. He obviously lacked sleep.

At the dining table, my dad did not ask Dylan many questions. My dad probably also thought he was too sleepy, so he urged Dylan to sleep for a while after eating.

It was Christmas, so my parents had to go to my grandma’s house. They thought it would be rude to leave Dylan here alone, so they asked me to stay and wait for him to wake up.

My whole body felt oily because I had been cooking, so I simply went to take a bath.

Halfway through my bath, Dylan started to knock on the door.

I could only call him on the phone to tell him that I was bathing and ask if anything was wrong.

“Can I come in?”

“No.”

“Did you lock the door?” Dylan asked playfully.

I froze in place. It was my home, so why did I have to lock the door? Of course, I did not have the habit of doing this.
