I slept too late and since the next day was a holiday, I only woke up at noon.

The moment I woke up, I thought about the call last night, and my heart could not help but beat rapidly.

However, back to reality, Dylan was still abroad and studying. When he comes back in a few years, I will be old already. Thinking about this, I felt a headache.

Before I could sort this out, my mom knocked on my door.

“Stephanie, get up soon. I’m going out to buy some food. Dylan will be coming over later, so why don’t you stop lying down? Look at yourself.”

“Mom, who did you say?” I was puzzled.

“It’s Dylan! He sent a text to your dad last night saying that he would be here for a visit at noon today.”

I was confused. When did this happen?

I quickly got up and sent Dylan a text. However, he did not reply, so he was probably on the plane.

Feeling dizzy, I went to the bathroom and washed my face with cold water to feel more awake. Only then did I fully understand that Dylan was really coming over.
