The moment I ran outside, my dad looked at me suspiciously. “What happened to your face?”

I was so scared that my heart was shaking, and I tried to calm my breathing. “Allergies.”

“Dust allergies?” My dad asked for more details.

I felt like I was almost dying. “Maybe.”

At this moment, my mom came back coincidentally.

“What are you two doing here?” My mom was carrying big and small bags of vegetables. It felt as if she almost emptied the entire market. “Why are you two still not coming over to help out?”

“I’m coming!” I was thankful to my mom for saving me from that dreadful situation. I hurriedly took the initiative to help.

My mom was shocked and muttered, “There are 365 days in a year, but it's rare to find a day when you’re diligent. What big mistake have you made? Tell your mom first.”

How could I be that lazy?

“Did you lose money in stocks?”

“No.” While picking the vegetables, I was tortured by my mom.

“Did you get dumped by Charlie?”

“I've never been in a relationship
