Chapter 2

Alec's POV

"Hurry up Nathaniel! Or I'm leaving you." I scolded my brother who was taking a long time to get ready.

I've told my father a bunch of times to buy him his own car, but he never listened since the idiot Nathaniel couldn't be trusted with his friends.

"Coming!" he shouted in an annoyed voice from upstairs, and I heard his frantic footsteps as he descended the stairs.

"Jeez, why are you so hot blooded? It's still early in the morning. If you ever become alpha I swear I'm leaving here cause I can't stand that choking attitude of yours." He barked at me, and since I was already in a foul mood, I angrily flung him into the air and he flew a few metres away from me crashing to the ground with a loud sound of probably bones breaking.

This fucker just really doesn't know how to be grateful!

"Ugh!" He grunted, as he massaged his limbs that were probably bruised right now.

"You're such a sick psycho!" He yelled at me, his eyes fuming and turning gold. I know it was Raze right now who's talking to me, his wolf, but I didn't care, I was going to be the alpha soon anyway. So might as well teach this little bastard to respect me or I will have a headache once I'm finally appointed as alpha.

Our pack, the Blood Crescent Pack, is the strongest pack in all of America, we are respected by everyone, and we're feared by our foes.

But lately, we have been receiving threats, our warriors informed me that some rogues are attacking nearby packs for no reason.

We tried tracking them but it was as if there never was one, since there were no valuable traces that we could discern that led to them.

That's why we were extremely wary as of now, making sure that every border has an assigned warrior to protect the pack and our people.

"Stop being immature Nathaniel and get up fast before mom sees us." I said to him with a strict voice, not happy with this worsening character of his.

"Whatever. I'm going to school alone." He snarkly replied at me and shoved me to the side as he walked past me.

Callum, my wolf was urging me to beat the crap out of my brother to set him straight, but I knew better than to pulverize my brother.

I let him get away with this for now since I'm running pretty late, and Erin must be waiting for me at school now. Shit! I really should have called her and told her to go first. I hope she doesn't get mad.

I jogged to my car nudging my brother, and shouted "Suit yourself," before starting the car of my new BMW.

I looked at my pea-brained brother one last time at the side mirror, and purposely started the engine when he was right behind the car, and dust instantly went his way, making him cough all over.

Tsk! Serves that prick right!

I drove off and fixed my hair as I made my way to the school. It's the first day of classes so I had to prepare my self a little bit extra.

I soon arrived and parked my car in the parking lot, and as I expected, Erin was standing there with a grim expression on her face.

I'm guessing I'm getting scolded, me, the alpha getting scolded by my 5'6 foot tall girlfriend. Sigh, she's worth it anyway, and I would let her pinch me or scold me anytime she wants.

I'm almost seventeen now anyway, and I can really feel it, she's going to be my mate, my future luna. Just two months more before my birthday and I can finally claim her as mine.

I smiled inwardly as I got out of the car walking towards her.

"You're late, it's 8:15! I'm already late for the orientation thanks to you." She said, her face falling as she glared at me.

"I'm sorry babe, it's my brother, he's…" I wanted to explain to her, but that wouldn't exactly paint me or my brother in the best light. So I just decided to let her be angry at me for the rest of the day, I'm sure she'll forgive me eventually anyway.

Erin is the youngest daughter of my father's beta, and her older brother Calix was my best friend and soon to be beta, he's been training his whole life for it.

So everyone was practically looking forward to the both of us getting mated to each other. And even my parents were pushing us to each other even though we were still uncertain until I turned officially eighteen.

"What? What's with Nathaniel this time? Is he always gonna be your reason for why you're being such a crappy boyfriend?!" She yelled at me, waving her hand crazily in the air as she turned her back at me and walked off with heavy steps.

"Babe! Wait…" I called her as I followed her inside the building.

We were inside the school coliseum now where literally every student was gathered.

I was standing at the centre together with Erin since she was the leader of the cheer squad, and I was the captain of the football team.

We were tasked to entertain the freshmen, and that was what we're typically doing right now.

My eyes were blazing at every guy who was gawking at her when she spoke at the centre, all energetic and all that, like can't they just stop being a bunch of weirdos and fantasize on my girl!

"Your girl?" Callum suddenly talked in my head, surprising me since he barely talks to me.

"Well this is a surprise." I replied snappily at him, but he just scoffed at me and continued with his soliloquy.

"Whatever, but don't go about claiming some girl as your own when she's not even ours." My brows furrowed at what he said.

What did he mean by that?

"What do you mean?" I asked him, but he wasn't responding to my calls anymore. Tsk! Does he think he can just talk to me and leave me hanging, like were fucking in the same body so might as well cooperate.

I know thay Erin wasn't my mate yet, but I could feel it, and everyone does too, that there's a hugh percent chance that she's my mate.

...

My mood instantly went downhill after that conversation, and I could tell that every member of my pack that are studying and in this place right now could sense the sudden shift of my mood.

I even saw one omega on the second floor almost fainted, and witnessing that, I started to control my pheromones and held a steady breath.

"Are you okay?" Erin held my hand but I quickly pulled my hand away, shocking her.

I felt something was off, like I was being watched, as if my body committed a sin when I let Erin hold my hand for that very few seconds.

I felt the temperature in my body started rising, and as the announcer called my name to go on the centre and make my speech, I reluctantly strutted there, my imposing aura making some of my members who were close to the stage cower in fright.

Fuck! What is happening to me?!

I suddenly heard whispers and commotions coming from the crowds, and I didn't know what they were talking about since my head felt like it was in the fucking clouds, I couldn't think straight!

Until I felt a soft hand grab my own, and I suddenly felt a bolt of electricity passing through my body.

I looked up to see who it was and I was left enthralled when I saw a beautiful woman with silvery white hair, and grey flecked eyes looking at me with a warm smile.

Her smile was so tantalizing to look at as she slowly moved her mouth as she spoke to me.

"I finally get to see you." She said with such a n enthralling voice, staring at me shyly which seemed to pull the strings of my heart.

But wait, do I know her? Who was she?

"My name is Skye, Skye Sullivan, and I officially own you now, Alec." She said, and her words kept ringing in my head.

What did she say?

That she owns me?
