Chapter 4

Alec's POV

"What is happening here! How could you let a human inside our territory and inside the pack house Alec!" My father yelled at me as I intently watched the crazy girl earlier who I caught sniffing my underwear.

I didn't know what happened to Callum back there, but he suddenly pounced at her, out of control. If I wasn't rational enough and took over, then Callum may have really done something to her.

I tied her down to a chair the moment I regained control over my body, and made sure that she couldn't break free until my parents and some reinforcements arrived.

She was thrashing and making a lot of fuss as she dragged the chair to the ground making a very irritable screeching sound.

"Hold her down!" My father shouted with a tone full of authority, obviously not happy with what was happening.

The pack warriors instantly held the chair down to prevent her from moving.

"I didn't know that she was here father. When I opened my room she was already there." I tried to reason with him, but it was no use.

He shot me a glare and stalked towards me, but mother held his arms and stopped him midway, getting in the middle of us as she tried to pacify him.

"Edward, that is enough. I already told someone to check the cameras, for now, let's just wait and calm down." Mother whispered in his ears, and it worked, dad was breathing calmly again and looked at us. But especially me with a disappointed face.

I swear if I know the fucker who led her to my room, I'll pulverise their face.

"Mmm!!mmm!!!" The girl continued shouting, but her voice was muffled because of the tape in her mouth.

She was starting to irk me off, not only did she make me look bad in front of my father, but she was also doing perverted things in my room, and worse, she even stole a kiss from me when I was confronting her.

Callum on the other hand went dormant after that. No matter how much I tried to communicate with him he didn't respond.

After a while, a lot of pack members started gathering, asking what the commotion was all about.

Erin and Calix were also here, asking me questions that I was in no state of mind to answer.

The omega that mom ordered to check the camera returned shortly after.

"Kyle, what happened? How did she sneak in?" Mom questioned the little omega, and he was shivering, as if hesitating if he should answer her.

"I-It was Sir Nathaniel, he was the one who brought her over." He said, and I clenched my fist, looking over the crowd to search for that stupid brother of mine.

"Bring Nathaniel here! Search for him!" My father yelled loudly.

"Why would your brother bring that lunatic here?" Erin asked me, caressing my arm.

"I don—" I was about to say something when suddenly, a ringing shout of agony pierced the air.

And we looked to see that the crazy girl earlier was now standing, looking at us with an abhorrent gaze.

The pack warriors who were holding her down earlier were on the ground, unconscious, no one saw what happened or how she knocked them off, but it was clearly her doing.

"I thought humans were the only ones with despicable natures, I didn't know that your kind would also fit into that scale." She said, her voice soft but carried an unknown gravity in them that I can't deny.

"You!" Father turned to her, his pupil dilating as his eyes started flickering, which means that he senses a threat before him.

But why? It was only one person, and a girl no less. What could she even do to him?

"I was holding myself back because you all are considered as my mate's family. But it seems I was wrong to think that way, since you talk like immoral beings." She muttered, taking a step forward, with no fear in her eyes.

My father was already releasing his pheromones to oppress her but it looks like it wasn't working, the Omega's present were already kneeling down and bowing their heads, actually more than half of the people present were doing the same as soon as my father released his pressure.

Even me, who was an alpha, wanted to succumb to my father's strong presence, but seeing her like that, unaffected, makes me wonder how she was doing it.

Is she even human?

"No," Callum spoke out of nowhere.

"Callum, what is she? A witch? But even a witch wouldn't stand a chance against father."

"I don't know. But she's definitely more powerful than your father. I can feel it. You feel it too, Alec, don't you?"

I was contemplating what my wolf said, but then a sudden voice pulled me out from my reverie.

Nathaniel barged inside, running with a frantic look, hiding the girl behind him. He was sweating and I could tell he was scared of father right now.

"Dad, you can't hurt her." He said, his voice slightly breaking as he stood his ground against father.

"And why not?" Father asked, boring holes at my brother's body.

"Because…" He stuttered, and looked at the girl who was already looking at him with a scowl.

"Because she is Alec's mate. She told me. That's why I brought her here." He said in one full breath, and I couldn't believe what I was hearing.

That girl…is my mate?

No! No!

It must be a joke. Erin's my mate! She's the only perfect one for me.
