Eighty- nine

Eira’s POV

I looked at him, bewildered by his question.

“Why will I be worried, if you really like her? I will support you,” Dolphus scoffed, looking away from me. “Why are you scoffing? Did I say something wrong?” I asked him and he shook his head.

“No, I’m going to bed. The day was stressful,” he replied and walked to his room.

Leaving me standing in the sitting room.

What’s with that attitude? Did I say something wrong? He didn’t even say what he always goes out to do. What will I tell Selene tomorrow?

Well, at least, I know that it wasn’t a girl he’s always going out to see.

So I can tell that to Selene.

After a while, I left for bed since there wasn’t anything to do. Thinking about the picnic tomorrow, I didn't know when sleep engulfed me.

I didn't wake up till I heard the cockerels' loud crows squeaking in my ears.

Dragging myself up the bed, I went to freshen myself up and later went to check on Dolphus but as usual, he had already gone out.
