Eira’s POV

When I heard the guards' words, I began to think about too many things.

“What is it? Is something wrong with the vampire King?” I asked the guard, trying to figure out if the vampire King knew about the outing or not so I would know how to prepare to face him.

“Uh?” the guard replied, looking at me as if I was the person who something was wrong with but I didn't mind repeating my questions again..

“I said is there —”

“I heard you. Why would you even think there’s something wrong with His Majesty?” The guard countered, interrupting my voice.

“Since you heard, just answer. What are you trying to say?” I frowned at him.

He was talking longer than expected, just tell me what I wanted to know. I almost screamed at him when I saw that we were almost at the vampire King’s attendance room.

“There’s nothing wrong with the vampire King,” he eventually replied but I was still curious.
