Chapter 3: The twisted sisters

River POV;

After a forty minutes ride, I finally arrived at Caroline's house where she and her son waited for me by the door. I have always dreamt of a house like hers or even bigger.

My sister Caroline, or Caro as I prefer to call her, is a very complicated yet wonderful person. After our mother died eleven years ago, she took care of herself and me, got us to medical school, and supported me financially throughout the way. She also managed to find the love of her life, something I would probably never find, and they together have the most beautiful child in the world, Leon.

Looking at me and my sister, no one could figure that we were siblings or even related. She took all the Scandinavian genes for herself, pretty ash blonde hair, clear blue eyes like the color of the sky on a spring day, and very light skin. She was perfect or this could be due to my parents skipping on printing in the color of course.

On the other side, I inherited a mix of Scandinavian and Egyptian genes leaving me with medium dark skin, dark blue eyes, and curly black long non-obedient hair. What can we say? Genetics are wild.

I parked my car and walked towards the door when Leon rushed over to me and clutched at my right leg using his small hands. I bent down and lifted him hugging him so tight I could break his delicate ribs. He had such a lovely combination of genes. He looked nothing like his mother though, he was more of me than her with his soft curly brown hair, green wide eyes from his father, and light to medium dark skin. He looked in many ways like his father too. He stole the best from all of us.

"God, I've missed you, Leo," I told Leon while brushing his hair with my fingertips. He replied in some non-understandable words while touching my cheek, I guess this meant he missed me too.

All three of us ran inside when we heard the snowstorm breaking in. Entering the house, one couldn't help but recognize and gloat at the gold-colored walls up to the very high ceils. Old classy furniture laying around the house. The smell of lavender candles mixed with the smell of freshly cooked food filled the house.

Spots of lights lined the floor on both sides through the entrance and the hall leading to the living room that looked majestic with its well-organized furniture aligning with the small side table facing a bookshelf filled with Caro's favorite books and picture frames telling Caro's and Jackson's (her husband) story. Quiet the love doves they were.

"Food is ready, come on!" Caro sang out from the kitchen. I took Leo's hand in mine and walked to the kitchen after hanging my jacket and taking my shoes off which was a tradition when entering houses in Sweden.

"It smells like heaven in here" I inhaled. The smell only made me relax forgetting the awful days I had to endure at the hospital.

Caro cooked a potato soup with grilled chicken knowing that this was my favorite dish. It is never good when she cares too much about me, it usually means that she wants to bring up something that would set me off. We started eating and here it comes as I expected.

"You look like you work at a mining operation in the 19s" Caroline scolded looking at me. I really looked exhausted, no doubt about that. Working at this hospital was the hardest thing I ever did in my life and for the record, I had a difficult life. But she didn't need to bring that up every time she lays eyes on me.

"Oh no, please Caro, don't start now, let's enjoy our meal in peace," I said almost pleading.

"You know that you could always change your mind about Jackson's offer to work with him at the clinic" Caro replied while pouring me more soup.

"I know I can, but this is the way I want to live my life. You helped me enough. Plus, ER is my passion, let me build my own success," I said hoping she would really listen this time and drop the subject.

Our conversation was interrupted by the sound of Jackson's keys digging into the lock. Just in time, he goes in saying "My twisted sisters". He said while kissing Caro and tugging me under his arm giving me a side hug. I never had a man in my life who loved me so unconditionally as Jack did after my father disappeared 23 years ago. When Jack came into our lives, Caro and I were alone, he was a savior when we needed one the most. For that, I will always be grateful.

"If you two don't let us enjoy this meal, I swear I will leave for my mother's house" Jack threatened looking between Caro and me.

"Cut the shit, Jack. You would never leave my sister's food even if we killed each other fighting, you know that," I said chuckling at his fake threat. "I'm busted now," Jack answered chuckling. Caroline gazed at us and rolled her eyes.

After that lovely dinner, Jack and I were playing 'Uncharted' while Caro went to put Leo in bed. However, we knew Caro wouldn’t make it back to us this night as Leo always succeeded to put her down as well. So, Jack started talking freely without leaving his controller or looking at me. He did that because he knows I struggle a little with eye contact in uncomfortable situations.

"You know your sister is right, right?" he asked.

"Well, yes I know but don't try to convince me. You know that you will fail," I replied without leaving my controller or stopping the game. Only for Jack to pause the game and look at me before patting my shoulder.

"We know that you want to build your own career but you should know that we never will think less of you if you ask for help or change your mind about my offer," he said looking deep into my eyes.

I furrowed my brows and shook my head. "What? Of course I know that Jack. You are a brother to me. I will ask for help if needed, trust me".

My phone’s screen interrupted us by lighting up in the dark for the 170th time, at least, during the last hour. "Can you please take it already?" Jack said annoyed pointing at my phone. I held my phone aggressively as I was genuinely angry about the way It didn't shut up through the last couple of hours, only to find 198 unread messages from my submissive "Lucas".

Yep, I had a kinky side, or I think it is wrong to call it a side of me, I see it more like an aspect of me, a page of my book that the book wasn't readable without. Being a domme was my secret, yet true identity.

For 10 years, I have been trying to figure it out totally. What I like, and what I don't, all was a mystery to me when I started embracing my kinky identity. It remains a mystery, even if I had figured out a lot. My nature still surprises me, keeping me on my toes most of the time. In the kinky world, the more you experience, the more you drown yourself in questions. Your wondering gets only bigger and deeper as time passes. One experience after another taught me more about myself and my nature but also kept me wondering more and more.

"I can't take it any longer," the last message from Lucas stated. He for sure meant that he couldn't stand the pain of the chastity lock wrapped around his manhood any longer. Only this lock was special, even if the technology of remotely controlled chastities exists now in 2022, this lock was developed and almost founded by me in 2017 but my stupidity forbade me from sharing the technology with the world because I feared for people to know about my kinky side.

"Lucas, we have an agreement, I will take it off tomorrow" I texted back in manageable anger.  In seconds Lucas wrote me back a long message begging me to remove the lock which I totally ignored.

On my way home from my sister's, my phone didn't stop vibrating and ringing because of Lucas. He was just justifying for me the punishment I had prepared for him, but he of course didn't know about it. He is new to all of this, yet very eager to learn reminding me of me when I was new.

After almost a forty-minute ride home in complete darkness, I was already clinically asleep when I searched for my apartment keys in my purse. "Finally," I shouted when I found the keys. It took seconds for me to doze out on the couch with my clothes still on. I guess my sister is totally right about me looking like a mining operation worker.
