Chapter 16

River POV;

By the morning, I felt much worse. Fever was a fact now. I took a cold bath to try to bring my fever down, but it didn't help much. Laying still was going to get me even sicker, so I changed and headed for the door planning on going outside this suffocating room. I was surprised the door to my room was not locked. Stepping out of the room, I was greeted by Antonio. He was standing by the door, probably guarding me.

"Good morning River," he politely said with a nod.

"Good morning, how is your wound?" I answered fighting the soreness of my throat.

"Fine, thanks to you," Antonio said while showing me his head.

I noticed his head was healing at a human speed which was odd considering he was a werewolf like Robert and the others but I only saw Robert healing fast so I asked "why aren't you healing as fast as Robert?".

He looked hesitant about answering my question when suddenly Alex's voice came through the corridor where we were standing. "You can answer her Antonio don't
