Chapter 21

"Ow!"

Olive let out a yelp almost crushing Chelsea's fingers from where she was holding it. The smell of her pain punched Chelsea in the gut.

It was sour. More sour than the grapes she had last week as part of her dare. Chelsea could only squeeze back, hoping the gesture was enough to comfort her friend.

After a while, her scent shifted from sour to stale telling Chelsea that she was no longer in a lot of pain but was still uncomfortable. "Hey Olly?" She tentatively called out.

"Yeah Chelsea?" Was the response.

"Do you think you'll be okay if I go grab us something from the cafeteria?"

"Yeah. Sure." And with a smile Chelsea was sent off leaving Olive alone with nurse Winn.

Ten minutes later, Chelsea still wasn't back from the cafeteria and Olive was progressively getting sleepier which was odd as she could never fall asleep in any sort of medical space because of her psy experience.
