Chapter 2

"Ashton, always on time to bully me I see" Chelsea said with a mock hurt voice making Olive roll her eyes at her best friends drama. She kissed Ashton on his beautifully carved jawline and Chelsea couldn't help but be pleased with the fact that these two gorgeous people were her best friend and cousin.

Ash had fluffy black hair and deep blue eyes that carried on to his form as a werewolf, a smile that could kill off the school's female population and a personality that could make anyone fall in love with him. Olive on the other hand, had straight blonde hair, a heart shaped face, hazel eyes, a smile that lit up any room she walked into and a personality that was sweet, so sweet that Chelsea sometimes wondered in her head if Olive really was that sweet or she was just manipulating everyone around her. Chelsea snapped out of her thoughts and saw the couple being all lovey-dovey.

"Okay, okay stop it with the PDA" she said while giggling at the the embarrassed blush on Olive's face. "Come on we can't be late, Desiree promised to give us a special if we get to the lounge early" Ashton said bringing the atmosphere back to normal. "Can't believe I almost forgot about that" Olive moaned while being dragged by Chelsea who instantly forgets anything when food is mentioned.

Meanwhile,

With Eva and Jessie,

Eva finally drove into the driveway of their new home after asking for directions from sprites and almost getting lost. Luckily, a kind elf pointed them in the right direction. After getting out of the car, Jessie let out an exhausted sigh. "I know all I did was sit in a car all day but I feel absolutely drained" Eva opened the door." I feel you Jess, but we need to set up at least the bedrooms and the kitchen before we rest" she looked around at the house grateful that the mess was minimal due to her asking the agent to call over some cleaners.

Eva flicked her wrist to let their stuff float into the house then picked up her phone and dialed a number. "Hello am I speaking with Mrs. Lane... Yes I was wondering if you were available for a job. You see I just moved into town and my house needs a lot of sprucing up but I don't know where to start... Yes I got your number from Yolanda, she was my agent... When can you come over? This weekend... Okay that works. The furniture is scheduled to arrive tomorrow morning... "

Jessie folded her arms and leaned on the kitchen counter and was scrolling through her phone waiting for her mom to end her conversation. Boxes and suitcases were still floating through the door before being gently placed on the ground.

She was so lost in her I*******m feed that he didn't know when her mom finished her phone call and so scared herself silly when her mom laughed at a funny video on her phone. "Mom! You almost gave me a heart attack" she said dramatically. "That's what you get for being too invested in your cell phone" Eva sing-songed.

"Come on, let's get cleaning" Eva handed her daughter a broom. Jess groaned. "What's the point of having magic if you can't use it for thing like this" she grumbled. Eva rolled her eyes at her daughters allergy to anything chore-related.

"Did you forget that a new house has to be cleaned by hand before one brings in furniture to keep the bad spirits away" Eva reminded Jessie as she flicked her forehead with her index finger. Jessie blushed because she had indeed forgotten.

"So therefore take thy broom and join me on this wonderful cleansing adventure" Eva said dramatically making Jessie break out in giggles.

She grabbed her mother's hand like the absolute child she was. "We shall begin our quest with the bedrooms" she ordered and proceeded to drag her up the stairs.

At Desiree's Lounge.

Olive, Ashton and Chelsea were having the time of their lives binging themselves on Desiree's Sundae special. "I'm so full I can't move" Chelsea groaned as she took the last spoon of her sundae and put it in her mouth.

"That's what you get for being a greedy little pig" Ashton snorted at his cousin pulling her cheek lightly. With the way she ate it was a miracle she wasn't obese. "How do you even fit all that into your tiny body?" and he was right to wonder because at 5'6, she was skinny like a model, her angular face, big brown eyes full of expression, blond hair and freckles made her look extremely childlike.

"Olly your boyfriend is bullying me, do something about it" Chelsea whined and pouted shamelessly blinking her eyes at her best friend. Her expression made it that even Olive was tempted to bully her bestie.

"Oh I don't know about that, is it really bullying when he's right?" she giggled as her best friend looked at her in mock horror.

"Olly" Chelsea gasped like a maiden who saw something scandalous "Did you just choose your boyfriend before me, your bestie and the love of your life?" she was like a lady who caught her plover cheating and the lover instead of apologizing was choosing the mistress over her.

"It's over! I've lost my best friend to the abyss that is love" she wailed dramatically drawing stares and laughter from the people around them. However, no one was worried because they were all used to the trio's antics.

A phone ringing interrupted Chelsea who was about to go on a diatribe on love and its evil effects and how it tore best friends apart. Ashton picked up his phone and answered the call. It was his mom. "Hi mom... Yeah she's with me... Okay, sure" The call ended and Ashton turned to his cousin

"Your mom wants you home for dinner, apparently her calls to you haven't been going through" he reported making Chelsea pick her phone from her backpack and looked through her phone. There were four missed call, three from her mother and one from her father.

"Okay, I need to get home pronto. If I don't, I might be out of a home and disowned" she grabbed her bag, gave Ashton a hug and Olive a kiss on the cheek. She waved goodbye and ran out the door.

After Chelsea left it didn't take long for Olive's mom to call her too and ask her home. She said her goodbyes to Ashton, who hailed a cab for her and kissed her goodnight.

Lane Residence,

"Mom, I'm home!" Olive took off her shoes and put on her fluffy indoor slippers. Rosabella came out from the kitchen with a bowl in her hand. The heavenly smell of cookies baking in the oven wafted out from the kitchen.

"That smells so good" she moaned and went to greet her mom with a kiss on the cheek. "You spoil me way too much mom" her voice was soft and full of appreciation to the woman who raised her all by herself and never once let her see the toll it took on her(Rosabella) until she(Olive) was old enough to bear her(Olive) own responsibilities.

"Of course I do, if I don't spoil you, who will?" Rosabella replied her daughter and smacked the finger that was quietly making its way into the bowl of cookie dough. "Go up, wash your hands and take a shower while I put this batch in the oven". She moved to the kitchen while Olive went to her bedroom to freshen up.

In 30 minutes, Olive had taken a shower and had changed into a long tee and baggy trousers. With a brush running through her hair haphazardly through her hair she sprinted down the stairs and into the kitchen. Her mom was just placing the now warm cookies into a bowl. "That was fast. Didn't think you could freshen up that quickly" Rosabella was surprised seeing as Olive usually spent at least an hour in the bathroom on Friday evenings.

"I just have three words. Chocolate. Chip. Cookies." Her deadpan voice made Rosabella snort. Her daughter's love for chocolate chip cookies was like the love fish have for water. Olive tried once again to sneak a cookie away and was rewarded with a smack on her hand with the spatula.

"Mom! How could you be so cruel to me" Olive whimpered and looked at her mom with pitiful eyes but Rosabella wasn't buying it.

"I'll be even more cruel if you try to steal my cookies again" she said to her daughter in feigned harshness, making the daughter snort this time around.

"Seriously though mom, I'm starv... "Olive was interrupted by her own stomach's grumbling. The sound loud enough to be heard by her mother burst into a laughing fit by the counter where she stood. She laughed so much that she got the hiccups.

"Didn't you have lunch and a pre-dinner snack at Desiree's Lounge?" she asked in-between hiccups as she grabbed a glass from the cabinet and tuned on the tap so she could get a drink of water.

"Yeah, but I really only ate one sandwich and had two medium sundaes" she replied as her mom downed the glass of water and effectively cured her hiccups." That's not nearly as much as I eat at home " she rolled her eyes goodnaturedly.
