In Jackson's car,

Jessie had thought that with them alone she would finally be able to summon the courage to speak to Jackson but she was wrong. It had been over 20 minutes and they were yet to even look at each other.

She knew if she didn't speak to him, her mind would torment her later. So, she summoned her courage and turned to look at Jackson...

Only to find him staring at her intensely.

Her courage failed her and she looked away, grateful for the cover of fast-coming night to hide her red cheeks even though it was useless as Jackson's werewolf heritage gave him the ability to see clearly at night.

On seeing he had been caught, Jackson turned his face to look at the road, a light pink dusting his cheeks. It was the first time in his life that both he and his wolf had been so intrigued by someone.

The car was silent for a moment before two voices rang out simultaneously.

"I..."

They looked at each other and both let out little giggles that eventually morphed into full-blow
