Chapter 15

Going into the house, Olive was met with silence. Her mom's car was in the driveway so she was obviously at home but for some reason, the silence made her extremely uncomfortable.

Moving further into the house, she saw her mom passed out on the couch, documents all around her. Immediately she sighted her, the unease she had felt all day dispersed.

She moved towards the kitchen trying her best to minimize her noise so her mom wouldn't wake up. It was, however, all for nothing as her mom stirred from her slumber.
