THE LAST SUPPER 2

Maika waited till they were halfway through their supper before she appeared from the kitchen again. She knew the poison was a slow one, and it would take a long time before it started working fully.

Maisey sighted her at the door and called to her.

"Maika darling," Maisey called. "It's almost 11 and you still haven't eaten."

"I'll eat later," Maika smiled. "I lost my appetite."

Maisey stared at her for a while and frowned.

"You know it's not right to serve your guests and starve yourself?" He said.

"And where did you hear that?" Kika laughed.

She dragged her chair closer to Maika and whispered in her ears.

"I know you don't feel like eating," She said. "I can always help you out."
