Chapter 80

Susu carried the dead baby all the way to the abandoned warehouse.

Her heart raced with excitement at the thought of getting Akayla back fully. Together, they were going to take over the world, just as Akayla had promised her.

She got to the door of the warehouse and she looked around quickly to make sure that no one was looking. Seeing that no one was around, Susu pushed the door open and walked in.

From a distance, she could feel the energy buzzing around Akayla. Even in her vegetative state, she was that powerful. Susu dared to wonder for a minute how strong she would be when all her powers were back.

She stopped at the bed where the witch lay and she slowly removed the cloth that covered her body.

"My Queen," Susu announced her presence.

Akayla woke up with a start and her eyes shone black. Her face was a mask of different dull colors: ash, grey and black in a few places, a subtle reminder of the day that she had tried to get the powers out of the portal and got badly burnt.
