Chapter 81

Rosella begged for the tears but they refused to come. The one person that mattered the most to her, she had lost. The evil witch now had her baby.

"Rosella!" Alpha Julian called again.

She ignored his call and lay down on the bed silently. The smoke was restricting his view and she knew that he would have a hard time finding her.

"Where were you when I needed you the most!" Rosella cried. "I lost him!"

There was a deafening silence in the room for a long while and Alpha Julian spoke finally. His voice was calm.

"How did it happen?"

"Susu!" Rosella cried. "I told you she was evil all the while but you never believed me. I'm the crazy witch who doesn't know what she's saying. Now we've lost our little boy."

"No harm will come upon our baby," Alpha Julian promised. "I can assure you of that."

"You can't assure me of anything," Rosella shook her head. "She would have killed me if she wanted to. You said you would be beside me but you weren't."
