Chapter 8

I walked towards the side of the wall to see if I was right with my suspicion, and as soon as I saw the broad and muscular back of Archer Sinclair, I proved myself right.

There he is, facing the window with his back. He has no upper-body clothes, so they are on full display.

And then he turned around to face me with a smirk on his lips. I caught a glimpse of his hard chest and bumpy biceps, along with his small waist.

"Leila," he called me.

I gulped and looked away. I don't think it's appropriate for me to be here in the same room with just the two of us and, moreover, to be looking at him right now when he's in this state.

"Greetings, Lord Archer. I curtsied at him as my eyes were still wondering around the room but never on him.

"Finally, you're here," he said.

"Yes, Lord Archer," I said, although I badly want to say that I shouldn't really be here and my mind is screaming at me that I should go out.
