Chapter 9

Archer Sinclair is kissing me.

That thought alone makes me spiral.

Archer's hand cupped my face, and he deepened our kiss. His other hand let go of my arms, and it snaked to my waist, and then he pulled me closer to his body so that I could feel his solid chest against mine.

For a moment, he lets go of my lips, and we're both drunk on each other's taste. We're both panting and catching our breath as our eyes never let go of each other.

With Archer's disheveled hair and his half-closed eyes, he looks freaking unreal. His face looks like it was carved by the gods.

I get it now. I see why all the girls want him.

He brushed his thumb on my cheeks. "God, Leila."

"Shouldn't you be on the ball?" I asked. "Is it alright that you're here?"

"I don't care about them, Leila. You're here with me. It's all that matters," he whispered in my ear.

"But you have to find your Luna downstairs," I said to him.

Archer smiled at me and pecked at my lips. "I already found her."
