Chapter 19

I felt a little nudge and tap on my shoulders, and that woke me up.

"Leila," I heard Katherine's voice call for me.

I opened my eyes and then saw Katherine's face just a few inches far from mine. She's peeking at my face.

I blinked. "I'm sorry, I was so sleepy."

"It's alright. It is time," she informed me.

It is another day, and that means I have to train. After that first time the other day, Scott allowed me to rest and recover yesterday, so we just went out for a walk.

So far, I have been enjoying my strolls with Scott. He's taking me to places here in the forest that I've never been to, and those hidden places that are untouched by our kind are actually hidden gems.

It is like discovering a paradise in the middle of hell.

"Hurry up, Leila. Your master woke up on the wrong side of the bed earlier," she informed me.

I was folding my blanket when Katheribg said that, and it made me stop. "Why? What happened?"
