Chapter 7: Five Men. Five Prince. Five Uncles.

Emily woke up in a hospital bed. She felt her body burning all over. She felt like she had a fever and was trying to recover from it. She coughed as she was getting up.

“You’re up,” said her eldest uncle, John. He was helping her to sit up.

Emily nodded her head wearily.

“How could you get this sick!” shouted her second uncle, named James.

Emily didn’t say anything.

“I knew it. That jerk couldn’t take care of you,” said her third uncle, called Jason.

Emily felt their anger and had tears in her eyes.

“I told you he wouldn’t love you,” said her fourth uncle, called Jordan.

Emily started crying as they were all right. Correct from the very beginning. She was too blind to believe them. She didn’t know that they were all telling her the truth. She believed in her heart and her false intuition. She was too young and naïve back then.

Her fifth uncle, Jack, walked up to her and put his hands on her shoulder and said, “Cheer up little princess,” his voice was soft and caring. “You will be fine after this trip and fall.” He smiled at her.

Emily smiled with happiness from his words. She nodded her head.

Jack wiped her tears with a tissue.

Emily wept and Jack held her tightly in his arms.

Her four uncles came around her and wrapped their arms around her.

Emily let out more tears and started to cry even more.

After a while Emily settled down.

Emily have her five beloved uncles.

Emily’s five uncles is not really her uncles. In fact, they’re not related by blood at all. They were adopted by Emily’s grandfather, Daniel Watson. Daniel’s best friend Jacob Young died in a car accident. In sympathy to his best friend, he adopted the five boys and raised them as his own. Thus, they became Emily’s uncle.

Going from oldest to youngest. Her first uncle is John Young, James, Jason, Jordan, and then Jack.

Her five uncles were all handsome in their own ways. Many girls chased and followed them everywhere they went. Not one minute of peace would they get if they stepped outside to go anywhere in public. They were the constant talk of the news and media besides Daniel Watson. They were also known as the five princes of Watson’s industry.

Emily’s grandfather, Daniel Watson is a talented and gifted man in businesses. He can manage any industry there ever is known. From fashion, to model, to real estate, to stocks, to computer, gaming, banks, and so forth. He knows how to run his business and make it successful. That is why he is known as the king of all businesses. He is considered to be like a royal for his richness, fame, and fortune. For his multibillionaire industry is known far and wide throughout the world.

Emily is the sole heiress to his fortune. Whoever she marries will stand by her as she stands to rule over his industry. The great and powerful empire that her grandfather built.

“By the way, what did happen to you?” asked Jason, not liking the way Emily looked.

“What?” asked Emily again.

“I mean look at your physical appearance. It looks as if you haven’t been taking care of yourself the past months.”

“Well, I got caught up with chores and stuff like that. I was busy and forgotten about my looks.”

“You sure did,” said John sighing.

“Ha. They got you to do the chores too huh?” asked Jason.

“Our little princess doing chores, now that’s a bit excessive, don’t you think?” asked Jack.

Emily didn’t say anything. It was her stupidity to think that by doing that she would be recognized by her mother-in-law. Thinking that if she worked hard as a housewife than Joshua would notice her. But she was wrong. She was wrong to the very end.

“Yes. We haven’t been able to keep in contact with you for the past six months and we come back to see you dress in rags, your hair is a mess, your facial is terrible, and you’re skinny as a stick,” complained Jordan.

“Why did do this to yourself?” asked John.

“Well, you know arrogance, stubbornness, stupidity, young love,” said Emily, hugging herself.

“It’s alright we were all once young. We all did stupid things for love,” said Jack, smiling at her.

Emily felt a bit better from his words.

“Now, let’s work on your appearance,” said John. John was taking note of Emily’s face.

“What?” asked Emily.

“Well, I mean you got a few pimples here and there, but that’s easy fix.”

“I don’t need any plastic surgery to be done on my face,” whined Emily.

“Of course, our little princess is beautiful enough the way she is. You don’t need to do anything to enhance that beauty of yours,” said James. “You will shine for you are forever young and beautiful.”

Emily smiled. “That’s right only her five uncles that she grew up knew what a beautiful woman she was.”

“Next, let’s take off those fake glasses of yours,” said James. He took off Emily’s glasses.

Emily looked at them with a clearer vision. For a long time, she struggled to look through those goofy glasses, but now that it’s off, she was able to see clearly again.

Emily looked into the mirror. Like right now, she is able to see who she truly was. A beautiful, smart, and talented woman.

“There we go, that’s the lovely princess we know,” said Jack.

Emily beamed happily at them.

“Don’t worry, little princess, we will get you shining in no time,” said James.

“Of course. I’m a natural beauty anyway,” said Emily, sounding concededly.

They all laughed at her.

Emily blushed at them.

“Yes. Because our little princess, is by far one of the most beautiful woman there ever is,” said Jack.

“It’s the truth,” said John.

“You’re by far one of the most natural beauty there ever is,” said James.

“Don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise,” said Jordan.

Emily got up out of bed. She was feeling a lot better now after hearing her uncle’s words. She had her confidence back. She stood up and said, “I guess it’s time to show the real me, isn’t it?”

“Yes. It is.”

“I’ve been hiding for far too long.”

“Yes, little princess,” said Jack.

“I will need all your help.”

“Of course,” they all said.

Emily nodded. “Now, for pay back, I must get me ready for the big ball.”

“The ball?”

“During my debut my name and identity will be revealed to the world. At that time the most crucial moment I will show Joshua MacClare who I really am. I will show him what I couldn’t tell him for the past ten years. The beauty he have lost. The heiress he lost.”

They all smiled as their little princess have returned as a stronger woman.

“Trust me, by the time we are done with you, you’re going to be the beauty queen you’re meant to be,” said John.

“Yes. For that pretty face is ready to outshine anyone of those other women and mistresses,” said James.

Emily laughed at his words.

“Now that’s the lovely laughter we have been wanting to hear,” said Jack. He leaned into Emily and said, “Welcome home, little princess.”

Emily beamed happily at him. Then she looked around the room. She was surrounded by love again. There was warmth again. She was back to where she was supposed to be. The place where she always belong. The princess of her estate. Her rightful seat. Standing beside her five princes. Meant to be the little beauty she was.

“Now, I’m going to make your beautiful face on every cover of every magazine and news,” said John.

“And that lovely smile of yours,” said James.

“And that thick, long, and silky dark hair of yours,” said Jason.

“And those nice curves or yours,” said Jordan.

“And those beautiful blue eyes of yours,” said Jack.

Emily started crying with laughter and she said, “You guys are the best.”

They all smiled handsomely at her.

Emily looked back at the mirror and thought, “Emily Watson, not Wats, from this day forth, no more hiding. No more living in shadows. The real you is going to come out. It’s time to show those people and the world who you truly are.”
