6 MONTHS GOES BY

“Ladies and gentlemen, we are here today to join in on the celebration of Daniel Watson’s granddaughter’s birthday. She turns twenty-one today,” said the announcer.

The crowds was cheering loudly as they were all standing behind the red carpet.

“Yes, everyone is excited as we are all eager to see the mysterious woman behind the name of the Daniel’s only heir.”

“Whoo!” shouted the crowds.

“Yes, this is the biggest and grandest ball that everyone is waiting for people,” said the announcer. “This is what we all been waiting for!”

“We want to see her,” said the crowd.

“Yes, I do too,” said the announcer. “But we will see her momentarily.”

“We want to see the five princes too,” shouted a female fan.

“Oh yeah, we’re going to be seeing the five prince as well,” said the announcer.

“We heard that they been all over the heiress. We want to see which one she chooses,” said a paparazzi.

“Oh,” hissed the host. “That folks, have been the hot topic for the past six months.”

“Do you know who she choose?”

“Umm,” said the announcer, sweating. “I’m not sure either.”

“Come on, you got to know who she liked among the Young’s brothers.”

“Sorry, folks, I’m just the announcer, I don’t have any further details than this.”

“The five Young’s are all so handsome and talented. I’m sure whoever she choose is a good fit for her.”

“Yes, the Young’s brothers are quite charming.”

The female fans were all going wild as they couldn’t wait to see the five princes. Even the men who came to support them were all shouting in frantic cheers.

“This grand ball is hosted by none other than the trillionaire Daniel Watson,” said the announcer.

“Oh, wow, look at this place,” said Vicky, adoring the Watson’s mansion. She was gasping as she looked at the ten thousand square feet ballroom.

“It is rather nice,” said Megan.

“Oh!” gasped Vicky.

“What is it?” asked Megan, looking in Vicky’s direction.

“Look at all the detailed decorations of these walls,” said Vicky in excitement.

People were looking at Vicky with an appalled look.

“It’s as if I just walked into a big palace,” continued Vicky admiring the place.

“Mother, please,” said Joshua, trying to lower his mother’s voice.

“Oh, son I’m just so excited.”

Joshua chuckled nervously. “Okay mother, tone down that excitement of yours.”

“I just can’t help it.”

“Mother, you’re embarrassing me right now.”

“Humph, I’m sorry then. But can you just imagine us living in a place like this soon?”

“What?”

“Ah,” sighed Vicky. “As soon as the Watson agree to our contract, we will be standing side by side with him with that business of yours.”

Megan overhearing their conversation sneered wickedly. She said, “I agree. As soon as the Mr. Watson sign the contract with you, you will be the next billionaire, standing next to him.”

Joshua nodded his head in excitement. “I’m ready to see him too.”

“Yes, same here,” said Vicky. Waving to some random people who was actually waving at the people behind her.

“Do you know them?” asked Joshua.

“No. But do I have to?” asked Vicky, looking at her son.

Joshua frowned. “Mother you can’t just be waving at random people.”

“Oh, weren’t they waving at me?”

“I don’t know. That’s why I’m asking if you know them.”

“I don’t know. I was just waving to look appropriate and fitting.”

“Isn’t that kind of weird?” asked Joshua, frowning at his mother.

“No. I’m just playing my part.”

“Oh,” said Joshua, laughing at his mother’s bubbling excitement.

Vicky looked around her for familiar faces. Then suddenly she sees someone she knew from high school. “Oh, hi Beatrice,” said Vicky. She was running to see her old classmate.

Beatrice Miller is well known for her famous clothes and fashion designs. She was one of the legendary fashion designers. She is also in charge of many runaway projects and jewelry design. Some of her works are displayed in museums for people all over the world to see and admire.

Beatrice turned around looking for the person calling out her name. She frowned as it was a voice she was itching to hear.

“Oh, Beatrice,” said Vicky, waving her hand at Beatrice.

Beatrice frowned as she saw them. Vicky and Joshua.

“It’s me, Beatrice,” said Vicky.

“Who?” Beatrice pretended not to know her at first.

“Oh, you know me. Stop pretending. I’m Vicky Newsom. My late husband was Jonas MacClare.”

Beatrice then had the widest smile on her face. She then pretended that the memories were flooding back to her. She then said, “Oh, you’re that Vicky.”

“Yes, we used to go to high school together.”

“Yes, we did.” Beatrice was now smiling at her with a wicked intention.

“So, how have you been?”

“I’m doing wonderful.” Beatrice looked at Joshua and  the woman next to him, whom she presumed is Megan.

“Beatrice Miller,” thought Joshua. “She’s quite famous and very well known. She’s also very well respected as well. She’s quite reputable,” he continued thinking.

Megan gleamed with excitement as she knew who this woman was. She was her ticket to fame.

Joshua looked at Beatrice and said, “Hello, my name is Joshua.” He reached out his hand to Beatrice.

Beatrice lightly shook his hand.

“Hello, Beatrice. I have heard so much about you,” said Megan. She reached out her hand to Beatrice, but Beatrice didn’t shake her hand. She just looked at Megan with puzzlement.

Megan frowned as to Beatrice and didn’t shake her hand.

“Ehm, this is kind of awkward,” said Vicky.

Joshua’s eyebrows narrowed at Beatrice as she didn’t shake Megan’s hand.

Beatrice looked back at Joshua said, “You’re alright.”

“Pardon?” asked Joshua, in confusion.

“I said you’re alright.” Beatrice folded her arms together. “Although, I would have preferred one of the five princes though.”

“What?” asked Joshua, in even more confusion.

“Nothing,” said Beatrice nonchalantly.

Joshua frowned deepened.

Beatrice leading the way said to Vicky, “Come along now. I got the prefect seats for you,” said Beatrice, ushering them away to a VIP table. “You will get the prefect view from here.”

Vicky was smiling at Joshua and Megan. She whispers, “Let’s do this.”

Joshua found it strange how Beatrice said such weird words to him. He wonders what it was all about.

“Alright, ladies and gentlemen please settle down as we are getting ready to meet our host, Daniel Watson,” said the announcer.

Everyone took their seats.

Vicky was becoming excited as she couldn’t wait any longer. She couldn’t wait to see who the woman that everyone kept talking about. She turned to Beatrice and asked, “Have you see the Watson’s granddaughter yet.”

Beatrice smiled at her and said, “Why do you ask?”

“Oh, I know how famous you are and how close knit you are in the celebrity world. I’m sure you heard rumors or even see her.”

“I have heard and have seen.”

“Oh really?” asked Vicky.

“She is a beautiful woman,” said Beatrice.

“Oh,” gasped Vicky.

“Yes, I heard it from many different resources that she is deemed to be one of the most beautiful women of our century. Not only that but she is extremely wealthy.”

“Oh. I can’t wait to see her,” said Vicky. She clapped her hands excitedly.

“I heard that her beauty is beyond anyone. That’s how she got her title.”

Vicky gasped.

Beatrice chuckled and said, “She have beautiful blue eyes and dark hair is enough to catch any man’s attention.”

“Dark hair? Blue eyes?” asked Joshua.

“Yes,” said Beatrice. “Almost like a black but when she’s in the sun it shines brown, kind of color.”

“Oh,” said Joshua.

“She’s quite lovely they all say.”

“Oh,” said Joshua again.

“Why? Does it sound like someone you know?” asked Beatrice, looking curiously at Joshua.

“No,” said Joshua, shaking his head.

“Oh, if you say so,” said Beatrice.

“Beatrice, I heard that Mr. Watson is extremely protective of her and kept her homeschool most of her life,” said Vicky.

“I guess if that’s what the rumors are saying,” said Beatrice, still smiling at Vicky.

“Oh, I also heard a rumor that his granddaughter went overseas for the past three years that’s why no one have seen her, is that true?” asked Vicky.

Beatrice chuckled almost deviously at Vicky. She wasn’t going to say anything to Vicky. Leaving Vicky in suspense.

Vicky, noticing that she was going overboard with her words backed away into her chair. “I-Ah. I- I thought you knew that part too.”

“One thing I do know for sure is that her grandmother is half Chinese and half Ukraine. That’s why Daniel’s granddaughter have pale skin and blue eyes.”

“Wow, you know so much.”

“Of course, being in the celebrity world, like you said, I have to keep up with news,” answered Beatrice.

Vicky chuckled nervously. “Of course.”

“By the way, I am looking for the prefect model to display my line of clothing next month.

“Oh,” said Vicky. Vicky looked at Megan. She nodded her head at Megan to make a move.

Megan nodded. “Ms. Miller,” said Megan.

“Yes?” asked Beatrice, looking towards Megan.

“Have you found anyone yet?”

“Umm, I have one in mind, but it’s not set in stone yet.”

“Then how about having me come help you out and model for some of your dresses?”

“Oh. Are you interested?” asked Beatrice, titling her head at Megan.

“Yes,” said Megan nodding her head.

Beatrice grinned at Megan and said, “Well, why don’t you come along for the fun.”

Megan was gasping with happiness.

Joshua nearly lost his seat as he heard that the famous Beatrice was going to take Megan in as one of his models.

Vicky was exclaiming out loudly.

Beatrice smiled at them as she was taking in all their excitement. “Just you wait, I got lots of fun and exciting news for all of you,” she thought. “On that day, I am going to rip those smiles off of your faces,” she continued thinking.
