Chapter 9: The Big Man Himself. Big News Indeed.

The announcer said, “Please everyone, meet the one and only Daniel Watson!”

The lights dimmed and down the stairs came Daniel Watson. He came down the stairs with a big and bright smile at everyone. He was an elderly man in his sixties. He had a full set of hair. It had white hair throughout. He also had a short and stubby white beard. He was quite fit and good looking. One could tell from one look that he was quite handsome when he was young.

“Please give a round of applause to our host, the big man himself, Daniel.”

The crowd was clapping loudly.

The announcer handed the microphone over to him.

Daniel took the microphone and spoke into it, saying, “Thank you. Thank you everyone for coming to my grand ball and congratulating my granddaughter’s twenty-first birthday.”

Everyone was clapping loudly at his announcement. Everyone was excited to see his hidden granddaughter that he kept so well from society.

“I’m so nervous,” said Emily, standing behind the red curtains.

“What is there to be nervous about?” asked John.

“I don’t know. I just am,” answered Emily.

“Little princess you been doing this for so long what is there to be afraid of?” asked James.

“It’s probably because it’s been a while.”

“No, it’s not. It’s only been three years,” said Jordan.

“I know, and it felt like ages,” whispered Emily.

“That’s why we been practicing,” said Jason.

“I think I need more practicing,” said Emily, trying to turn around to run.

Jack grabbed Emily’s wrist and said, “You got nothing to be afraid, we’re all here for you.”

Emily looked at Jack and nodded her head. “Alright. I won’t run. I won’t hide.”

“Good job.”

“Yes, little princess, we’re all here for you,” said John.

Emily looked at the five of them. How supportive they are of her. Within a flash of her eyes, they had all grown up. How handsome they all are before her. They all had jet black hair with hazel eyes. They were all very fit and very muscular. They all nearly look alike except for a bit of differences here and there. Jack was the most handsome of them all.

Emily peeked outside the curtain and saw Joshua. He was sitting next to Megan. How her heart still ached at the sight of him. How the agony is still lingering in her broken heart. She looked away at the sight of him. “I have to be strong,” she thought. “I can’t let the feelings of the past break me,” she continued to think.

“What is it?” asked John.

“Nothing,” said Emily.

Emily thought, “This time, I will show you the real me. My real identity. Show you what you lost. What could have been yours.”

Emily clenched her fists tightly as the memories of their divorce came into her mind. “If you loved me, then today would have been the biggest surprise of your life. You would have been set in stone,” she thought.

“You’re not getting cold feet now, are you?” asked James.

Emily shook her head.

“Is it because of him?” asked Jack, peeking out the curtain and looking in the direction Emily was early.

Emily nodded. “But don’t worry, I have gotten over him. And I will continue to get over him.”

“Well, that’s reassuring,” said Jack, nodding at her.

“I won’t let him hinder me anymore.”

“Well, don’t you worry about him. You just keep your eyes on us,” said Jack, smiling at her.

Emily smiled and said, “Alright. I can do this. Today is my birthday. I won’t let him ruin it for me. I won’t let anyone ruin it for me. Not ever again.”

“That a girl,” said James.

“If you’re nervous,” said John, wiping his sleeve.

Jordan smirked. “To make it more interesting, why don’t we go out first?” asked Jordan.

“Yes, why don’t we go first,” said James.

Emily nodded her head as she thought that was a good idea. “Thanks for doing this.”

“If it wasn’t for your grandfather, we wouldn’t be where we are today,” said James.

“Yes, we got a lot to thank your grandfather, and for that we won’t let you down, Emily,” said Jason.

“We’re doing this all for him and you,” said Jack.

“Yeah, we all got your back, so you just watch us. When you’re ready you give us the signal and we will let your grandfather introduce you and welcome you down the stairs,” said Jordan.

“Alright,” said Emily. She smiled at the five of them.

“Don’t be afraid,” said Jack, holding onto Emily’s hand.

Emily nodded. “Thanks.”

“No worries,” replied Jack.

John passed a note to the announcer and the announcer gave it to Daniel.

Daniel took the letter and frowned. He then smiled at the audience and guests. He said, “Well before I introduce my beautiful granddaughter to you all, I want to introduce the five princes you all been dying to see.”

“WHOOOOAAAA!” shouted the crowd.

“Please welcome, special guests of honor, the five princes of my industries!” said Daniel proudly smiling.

They were all wearing white suits and they all walked out in order from oldest to youngest.

“First of all, before anything else. I want to tell all you and the world, of another exciting news,” said Daniel.

Everyone became excited and started whispering among themselves.

“I got another big announcement to make,” said Daniel, hearing the excitement in his guest’s voices.

“Oh, what is it?” asked the guests, simultaneously.

“Oh, I wonder what is it?” questioned Vicky.

“I wonder too,” said Megan.

Joshua remained silent in his seat.

Beatrice didn’t say anything, but grinned.

“I specifically trained these five boys under my direct supervision. I have given them what any father would have. Love, care, and nurture. Teaching them my businesses.”

“Oh, he treats them like they’re his real sons. What does that mean?” asked Vicky.

Beatrice giggled. She picked up her cup of wine and drank it.

“Throughout the years I have seen these boys grown and mature. They are all very gifted. And as many of you all know they are all very talented.”

“Yes, they are!” shouted the fan girls.

Daniel chuckled. “I am old now and my granddaughter is still young. So, I am going to have each of them take over the industry in which fit them most.”

“What!” exclaimed everyone.

“Wow, this is big news indeed,” said the announcer, sounding excitedly. “Wish, I was one of the five princes right now, looking into the camera and winking.

Danield continued to say, “They are only doing this to help me until my granddaughter is mature enough to help me take over the full industries, in which I control many. So, please help me congratulate the five princes of the Watson’s multi-trillionaire industry!”

“YAY!” shouted the crowd.

“First off, John Young, who’s a smart and gifted doctor and surgeon, or more specifically plastic surgeon, will take over Watson’s hospital.”

Everyone gasped in surprise.

“Watson’s hospital is one of the biggest and most successful hospitals throughout the entire nation,” said the announcer. “This is amazing that one of the five prince is taking over the hospital, to help Mr. Watson. Especially that number one doctor, Mr. John Young.”

“Next,” said Daniel, “James Young. The brilliant mind of this young man will be taking over the gaming industry.”

“What!” gasped the crowd.

“Oh, my goodness, this is exciting for the gaming world is going to change forever!” shouted the announcer.

“Next will be Jason Young, who’s gifted in singing, and creating beautiful melody, will take over the music industry.”

“Whoo-hoot!” exclaimed the announcer. “Ladies and gentlemen, we are down to two princes of Watson’s industry. What’s the two next princes be?”

“Next, is Jordon Young. We all know how skill he is at working in the kitchen, so I would like him to take over the culinary industry.”

“Wow, surprise, ladies and gents,” said the announcer.

“And lastly of the Young’s boys, Jack Young!” said Daniel.

“Wow, he seems to be proud of that boy Jack,” said Vicky.

“Of course, he is. He’s the favorite among all the brothers,” said Beatrice.

Joshua frowned as to how Beatrice knew of this much. For someone whose only in the fashion industry she sure knows a lot about the Watson’s family history. “Does she know them more on a personal level than just business,” he thought.
