Chapter 8

Author's POV

Your grandfather used to work in a company before starting his own company. When your grandfather wanted to quit his job and start a company everyone discourage him except his only friend. He supported your grandfather. Your grandfather quit his job and ask his relatives to help him financially but everyone turned their backs. Your grandfather took a loan and started the company. But your grandfather was betrayed by a client. Bank was about to take over the company and house when his friend came forward. He gave money to your grandfather. Your grandfather soon gets over the loss. After this, your grandfather wanted to make their friendship relation more strong. Your grandfather and his friend decided they will marry off their children. But he has a son only. So, they signed a contract. According to the contract, one of my sons has to marry his granddaughter. And if we denied we will lose fifty percent company to them. James Lockwood your grandfather's friend's son. And he has a daughter. He wanted you to marry her daughter. He has chosen you"

Mr. Knight's words were playing in Christian's mind continuously like a broken radio. After driving aimlessly for two hours Christian stopped his car in front of a bar and went inside.

Christian gulped down the glass of wine in a go and throw the glass on the ground. The glass broke into pieces.

The bartender gulped down in fear. It was the fifth glass Christian broke. But the bartender was quiet because he knew Christian.

He quietly poured another glass of wine and put it in front of Christian. Christian was about to grab the glass when his security head spoke up

"Sir, you have already drunk enough. Let's go back. Everyone was waiting for you"

Hearing this, Christian looked at him and spoke up angrily, "How did you find me? Did you follow me?"

"Sir, it is my duty to protect you. Your father asked me to follow you"

"I am not a baby. You don't need to babysit me. Go away. I don't need anyone" Christian shouted and gulped down the wine.

"Sir, it is time to go. Sir, it is not safe for you to stay here at this time. The media will make a big scandal if they saw you drinking like this. Please let's go" The security head requested him.

Christian laughed hearing this and stood up but he stumbled and was about to fall when the security head caught him.

Christian pushed him away.

"I wi..will n..not go," Christian said.

The security head sighed and took his phone and called Alex.

Alex picked up the call at the first ring.

"Sir, young master is making trouble here. He doesn't want to leave the place. And he is drunk" The security head said

"Send me the address and stay with him. I am coming. Don't let him leave the place also make sure no reporters are around" Alex said

"Copy that," The security head said and sent him the address.

Alex took his car keys and came out of his room.

Nathan was sitting in the living room when he saw Alex coming down the stairs quickly.

"Alex, where are you going?" Nathan asked him

"Christian is drunk," Alex said and was about to pass him when Nathan held his hand.

"I am coming with you"

Alex nodded then they left from there...

Alex was driving his car at the high speed. Nathan was a little shocked because Alex never drive at high speed even if he was in hurry. He is a man of rules. But today, he was driving at high speed of his own.

Nathan looked at the GPS.

"We need at least 2 hours to reach the place," Nathan said

"Have you been there before?" Alex asked

"Yes. One of my friends celebrated his birthday there a few months ago. It is an ordinary club. That place is not safe. Being robbed is very common there. All local and gang members visited the place. Thank God that the security followed Christian. Why Christian went that cheap place to drink?" Nathan spoke up

"He didn't go that place to drink. His mind is messed up right now. I am sure he went there aimlessly. You know it very well that Christian does not like to drink. I never saw him drinking at any party nor the security head ever say Christian went to any club for drinking. But his security head said Christian is drinking without limit. He is taking neat" Alex said speeding up the car again

"What? Neat? He is drinking wine without water. This is happening because of that bitch. I will not leave her" Nathan said

"Don't forget about the contract" Alex said when Nathan's phone started ringing.

Nathan took out his phone and received the call without seeing the id

"You cheap, fraud. How could you do this?" A girl shouted angrily

Nathan moved the phone from his ear and looked at the id.

He saw it was an unknown number.

"Ex-cause me. I think you have dialed the wrong number" Nathan said

"I didn't dial any wrong number, Nathan Knight. How could you forget so that soon?" The girl asked angrily

"Look Miss, I don't know you and I don't have any idea what you are talking about. Come to the point instead of beating around the brush" Nathan said

"You promised me that you will fix a date with your brother. Because of this, I let you do the party at the club without the owner's permission. But you lied to me. You didn't tell me your brother already had a fiancee and he is getting married, very soon" The girl said making shocked.

"Fiancee? Who told you my brother Christian has a fiancee?" Nathan asked her

Alex looked at him with shock

"Your brother's beloved fiancee Katrina said in a mall that Christian is going to marry her very soon. A girl recorded it and posted the video on her profile. The video is all over the internet. You lied to m..." The girl said but Nathan cut the call and opened the browser when a notification came on the screen. It was about Christian.

"Alex, stop the car," Nathan said

Alex stopped the car without any question.

When the video stopped Alex and Nathan both fisted their hands in anger.

Alex started the car. Nathan throw the phone in the backseat and looked out the car window.

Rest car ride was silent. But both brothers were hell angry.

When they reached the club. They both got down and ran inside the club.

When they entered they found Christian was still drinking. The security guard was trying to stop him but Christian kept drinking.

They ran towards him. The security guard sighed in relief seeing them.

Nathan snatched the glass from Christian. Christian was ready to shout but he saw it was his brother. Alex put his hand on his back and made him stand.

Nathan paid the bill then they left from there. Christian was quiet.

Nathan opened the car door. Alex made him lay down on the back seat. Nathan put a pillow under his head. They were both about to close the door when Christian whispered, "It is time to return the debt"

Alex and Nathan both looked at each other confused. Alex looked at Christian to ask what debt he was talking about but he saw Christian was sleeping.

They closed the door. They get in the car. Alex started driving. But Christian's words were playing in their minds.
