Chapter 10

Author's POV 

At Lockwood mansion 

Katrina was resting on a couch. A maid was massaging her body. She was thinking about her life. Just a few days ago she was an ordinary girl. A girlfriend of a middle-aged man. She didn't care about the age. She was with him for his money. 

That man was using her like a mistress. But she did not care about the title. As long she gets money everything is fine to her. But now she has a golden fish. A rare golden fish. Now she going to marry that golden fish in a few days. To her, he will be her black card. 

The card will never run out of money. If she marries him, she won't have to go to that old man for money anymore. Now she can live a luxurious life. Now she doesn't have to live like the middle-class person anymore. She can spend her life like a princess. Now, one will try to disobey her. Because now, she has that golden fish with her. 

I can't believe this is actually happening. I can't wait to marry him. 

Katrina daydreaming when her phone starts ringing. The maid picks up her phone and gives it to her. 

Katrina receives the call when a familiar voice comes from the other side. Katrina becomes nervous. She signals the maid to leave. 

The maid nodded and left from there. 

"Who are you?" Katrina asked 

"It is really bad to forget about the person with whom you used to sleep for money one year ago," The person said and laughed at the end. 

"Luke?" Katrina whispered

"Yeah. At last, you remember me. I thought you had forgotten about me after sleeping with so many people after me. It is really hard to remember everyone's name. Isn't it?" Luke mocked her. His tone was harsh

Katrina gulped in both fear and disturbed. Luke was her university boyfriend. She used him to get the notes and money. After graduation, she dumped him harshly in front of the whole university. 

"I don't know what are you talking about. I think you have dialed the wrong number" Katrina said 

Luke laughed upon hearing this.

"Your would-be fiance has a reputation for being. I don't think he will happen to know about to the night history" Luke said and Katrina's eyes widened in disbelief

"Don't you dare. Didn't I tell you I was done with you? Why you are still running after me like a leech?" Katrina shouted at him

"I am not running after you, you bitch. I would rather die than be with you again. To me you are a disgusting pig" Luke said 

Hearing this Katrina fisted his hand in anger. She can not believe that fool, fat, ugly hen minded man is using this language. 

"How dare you bastard? Do you know who are you talking to now? Do you have any idea about the power my fiance has? In a second he can destroy you. You have gone too far. I will not leave you. I will destroy you. And Christian will never meet and listen to a poor man like you. You are not worthy to stand in front of him" Katrina shouted

"I know am not worthy but do you? Anyway, I am sending something for you. Consider it as an advanced engagement gift. Don't ignore it or you will regret it a lot" Luke said and disconnected the call. 

Bastard. 

Katrina cursed him and put her clothes back then picked up the juice glass when her phone started ringing again. 

Katrina picked up her phone and saw it was her friend Susan 

"Hey, Kat is it true? Are you really going to marry Christian Knight?" Susan asked her

"Yeah. It is true" Katrina, said with an attitude like it was Christian luck that she decided to get married to him.

"Girl, you are so lucky," Susan said 

"Well, he falls for my beauty. I had no choice but accepted him" Katrina said 

"I am so jealous of you. I heard Mr. Knight has two brothers. Don't forget to introduce me to them" Susan said 

"Sure," Katrina said

"Really! Thanks. Now let's celebrate. What's say?" Susan asked 

"Sure. I am getting bored here. Let's meet at our usual place" Katrina said 

"Okay. I will wait for at outside the club" Susan said and disconnected the call. 

Katrina smiled and sat down in front of the mirror. 

She opened the makeup box. 

She was happily doing her makeup when she heard a knock. 

"Come in," Katrina said and a maid entered with a box. 

"Madam someone has sent it for you," The maid said 

For me? Katrina frowned when Luke's words rang in her mind. 

"Give it to me," Katrina said and the maid gave her the box and then left from there. 

"Katrina opened the box and found an envelope. She opened the envelope and saw some photos

Katrina stood up immediately. She was shocked. Those are her intimate pictures with different people. 

Katrina picked up her phone and called Luke. 

Luke picked up the call at the first ring. 

"Looks like you are very happy to get the gift. Did you call me to thank you?" Luke asked it. 

Katrina's body was shaking in anger. 

His words hit her hard like pouring oil on burning fire. 

"Where did find those pictures?" Katrina asked him

"Wrong question. The question should be what I am going to do with the picture. You look professional in those pictures just like the slut. I am afraid that Mr. Christian Knight will be upset finding out about it" Luke said 

"Bullshit. Those are fake. You are trying to frame me. Christian will never believe you" Katrina shouted but inside she was hell scared. 

The hell with Christian Knight now. If her father saw those he would cut her into pieces. 

"Mr. Knight believes in proof. You know I have packed the same gift for him. Oh, sorry, I have added a few video clips too. Let's see whom he trusts. Should I send them to him?" Luke asked him

"No. What do you want?" Katrina asked her

"You are a smart girl. Good" Luke said and laughed.....
