Chapter 5

Author's POV 

"Ana, how was the paper?" Rose asked Ana as soon as she came out of the exam hall. 

"It was good. What about you?" Ana asked her. 

"Well, I will pass," Rose said in a childish tone. Ana smiled at her. 

"Let's go to the canteen. I am hungry" Rose said to her. 

Ana looked at her watch and spoke up, "Sorry, I can't go. My work time is about to start. I need to reach the hotel in 25 minutes. See you later. Bye," Ana said and left from there. 

Ana reached the bus when the bus was about to leave the platform. 

Ana gets on the bus and took a seat. She sighed in relief when someone called her from the back. 

Ana turned and saw Bella a chief of the hotel. 

Bella came there and sit beside Ana. 

"How was your exam?" Bella asked her. 

"It was good. Finally, the exam is over. I am free now" Ana said 

"You should take some rest, Ana. You can take off today. I will talk to the owner" Bella said to her. 

"It's okay. I am fine. I have already taken enough leave" Ana said 

"As you wish dear. Anyway, Mr. Knight booked our entire hotel for the party. The party is going to be held next week" Bella said 

"That means we need to do overtime next week," Ana said and Bella nodded 

"Dear, now you are a graduated person. You should search for a suitable job. Leave this waiter job" Bella said 

"I will. I will start applying for jobs from today. Tomorrow is our off day. I can for vacancy tomorrow" Ana said when her phone started ringing 

Ana took out her phone and got shocked because it was her mother's number. 

It was the first time her mother, called her. 

Ana picked up the call in shaking hands. 

"H..hello" 

"Ana" Maria said 

Ana closed her eyes hearing her mother's voice after fifteen years..

"Mom" Ana whispered 

"Yes. Next week I want to meet you. I will send you the location" Maria said and disconnected the call before Ana said something. 

Ana looked at the phone. 

"She didn't even bother to ask me how am I" Ana whispered 

"Who was it?" Bella asked her looking at her teary eyes. 

"Mom" Ana said 

"What she wants after fifteen years?" Bella asked her. 

"I don't know. She wants to meet me" Ana said 

"Bullshit. She did not even try to know how are you. Are you going to meet this woman after all this?" Bella asked her. 

"I don't know, Bella. A part of me hated this fact of meeting her because she wasn't there when I need her the most. She did not even bother to show up when mom died" Ana said in a sad tone. 

"Then don't go to meet her. Who knows what is she planning again?" Bella said 

"What is left to do more, Bella? Everything is over. I don't have anything to lose. Anyway, I have already left the store job. I am finally free from that witch. But I am a little sad because I can't see Kate again" Ana said when the bus stopped. 

Ana and Bella got down...

"Why not dear? You can visit the store to see her. Always you both can meet on weekends" Bella said 

"I wish we could. Kate also left the job. Her boyfriend proposed to her two weeks ago. They got married and left for their hometown. I could not even able to attend her wedding because of my exams. But I am so happy for her. Now she can live a peaceful life hopefully" Ana said and smiled. 

Ana and Bella got down...

One day you will get married too dear. Your prince charming will come soon" Bella said and Ana started laughing. 

"What so funny here?" Bella asked her

"Prince charming!! In my life!!! It is the joke of this year. Who will marry an abandoned girl like me? No one. My parents think of me as a burden and thew me out of their lives like dirty trash. I am an unwanted girl Bella. Nothing but an abandoned unwanted girl, Bella. No one will marry me" Ana said and laughed again but Bella could easily see the pain in her eyes. 

"Don't think like this dear. Of course, you will find someone who will not only marry you but make you the queen of his heart. You don't need to find him. He will find you" Bella said 

"I don't like fantasy dear. Cinderella doesn't exist in real life. It's only life in fantasy and it only belongs there" Ana said when they reached the hotel. 

They were about to enter the hotel when a girl came out while crying. 

"Ava!" 

"Ava, why are you crying? What happened?" Ana asked her. 

"I got fired," Ava said 

"What? But why?" Bella asked 

"My legs stuck and I dropped a juice glass on a customer's dress. She is a rich person. She complained and the manager fired me" Ava said 

Ana looked at her face and saw fingers print on her cheek

"Did the customer slap you?" Ana asked her

Ava nodded. 

"It doesn't matter. You know my family's conditions. I am the only eating person in my family. I have to take care of my ill father and younger brother. I don't know how am I going to feed them now?" Ava said while crying. 

"Come with me. They can not do this for this small mistake" Ana said and held Ava's hand then entered the hotel. 

They entered the manager's room but as soon as the manager's eyes fell on Ava, he stood up in anger. 

"What the hell is this?" Do you want to get fired?" The manager shouted angrily

"You can't fire her for this small mistake," Ana said 

"Small mistake? Do you even you who was the customer? She is Katrina William and plus most important she is soon to be the fiancee of Mr. Knight. And this fool dared to drop the dam juice on her dress. Do you guys even know the price of her dress?" The manager shouted again. 

"We know we are poor. But it was a mistake. She didn't do it intentionally. Please give her a chance" Ana said 

"I can't," The manager said 

"Manager, she has a family to feed. Please think about it. Her father is ill" Ana said 

"No. Now get back to work" The manager said

"Manager Hunter, do you think we don't know what you tried to do with the new chief last week?" Ana asked 

"Are you threatening me?" Hunter asked her in anger. 

"No. You know if you fired us we can manage the job but if the owner fire you will never find any job in your life" Ana said and the manager glared at her 

"We are going to work including Ava," Ana said then they left from there. 

"I will not leave you" Hunter whispered.
