CHAP 10

I woke up with the feeling of something heavy hitting my stomach.

I gradually opened my eyes to discover Jairon embracing me.

This was the first time a male other than my brothers had hugged me, so I was both surprised and amazed.

I fixed my gaze on him. He truly got my attention when I first saw him in person. His small lips, sharp nose, big eyebrows, and ideal jawline.

"Jai..." I closed my eyes and moaned while firmly holding his arm.

"Good morning," he said in his bedroom voice.

I swallowed and tried to calm myself down. "Morning," I said back.

"How are you feeling?" he asked, turning his face slightly away from mine to look at me.

I gulped to hide the rising nervousness eating away at my system and then looked away.
