CHAP 14

I got in the car and started it right away. I ran it fast after tightly closing my eyes and taking a big breath.

When I passed a familiar location a short while later, I likewise gradually slowed down the car. I pulled over to the side of the road and shut off my car.

I foolishly cast my gaze across the neighborhood park where our home was located. I smiled sourly and exited the car.

I deliberately opted to ignore the cold breeze as I continued to stroll into the playground swing. I cautiously stood up and took another glance around the area.

"What's up, sis?" I murmured weakly then slowly moved the swing with my body.

I did that silently for the past few minutes until I felt a familiar presence approach me. He silently sat on the swing next to me, and then I felt him staring at me. I didn't look at him; instead, I looked up at the sky full of stars at that time.

"It was already five years ago..." I whispered into the void.
