Gwen and her mean daughter, Alessa were just by the door. Terror filled me and I made to slam the door into their faces but they were too fast and I could not hold them back when they lunged at me, they were in the room in the next moment.

"You really think you would have a better life than we could ever have, sister?"

Alessa asked when they were standing above me while I remained on the floor

"How did you sneaky things get in here?"

I asked instead. They exchanged glances and laughed.

"Using a little bit of magic does not hurt anyone, dear."

Gwen said in her usual sly manner

She looked indeed like she had used magic. She appeared older than I remembered her to be

" I have always liked how ambitious you are. Even as a little girl, you have always had big dreams and I can't think of anything that you have ever wanted that you never had, even if you needed to break others in the process of acquiring what you want."

"That is not true, Gwen!"
