“jo ishq faana na kar de, wo ishq kesa?”

Watching him nod at the other guy, she hide behind the wall.

“Get away, she is about to reach,” he looked around as she wiped a tear from her eyes. Taking a deep breath.

‘Why did I even wish he will different,’ she whispered to herself before she walked ahead with a neutral expression. He was looking at her, like he always did but today she was not looking at him like she always did. He was a deceiver.

Deceivers deserve to die.

“Hi baby,” He handed me the basket like he always did.

“Where are we going?” She asked with a small smile on her face, trying to keep her anxiety at bay. She would not let it show.

“I have a sexy surprise for you,” he said with a wink, Shazia smiled and turned her face in the other direction. She did not want to show her true emotions.

Well she will, not right now.

Half an hour later, he stopped in front of a restaurant. Shazia held her breath, ‘Did I judge him wrong?’ Her thoughts came to an end when he opened the door for her.

Shazia smiled at him and kept her delicate hand in his rough forwarded one.

“You planned a date,” She stated as they both entered the peaceful place.

“There’s something I want to ask, need to make it special,” He said holding her hand as he guided her to the table booked for them.

Her breath stuck in her throat as she looked at the same person she saw earlier coming towards them in waiter’s dress.

“What would you like to have, Sir, mam?” his gaze was professional. Shazia tried to keep her expression normal.

“First two champagnes please,” Andrew said before She could order something.

“Sure sir,” the waiter walked away as Shazia fisted the table cloth in her hand as she looked at him.

“Shazia, we have been seeing each other for the past 3 months now, I want to give a name to it,” He said as two glasses of champagnes arrived at their table.

“Andrew I—“Shazia did not know what to say or how to say, she can’t commit to him when he is on her hit list. She did not believe him, there was nothing to believe as well.

Quiet place, no sharp objects near them, away from the city.

This was a trap

“You don’t have to answer me right now but if you are at least considering it, please drink the champion and take all the time you want or you can walk out of the door and I’ll never disturb you again,” His words seemed genuine. She wanted to try.

Taking a deep breath, she held the champagne glass in her hand, his eyes making her nervous. Still contemplating whether she should throw it at his face or drink.

She pressed her lips on the glass surprising even herself let alone the man in front of her as he smiled.

“I’ll prove myself worthy of that sip, Shazia,” He said as caressed her knuckles and held eye contact with her.

‘I was wrong’ she thought to herself as he played a soft song on his phone and stood up, she smiled at him.

“Silly,” She said taking his forwarded hand.

“Only for you,” He whispered against her lips before taking her in a soft kiss. He twirled her around before she felt a needle on her neck.

‘That’s what happens when I don’t trust my intuition,’ Andrew felt her limp against him.

“Worked?” Dev, the waiter guy came and looked at her body, he checked her breathing to know if she was acting or they actually got her?

“Why wouldn’t it?” Andrew said as he held her in bridal style.

“We should not waste more time, make everything the way it was before the old owner of the property arrives, I’ll put her in the car,” Dev nodded and started cleaning all the traces of them being there.

The owner was an old guy whose children did not look after him, Dev had offered to get a deal for his property, The old guy agreed and gave him the keys to look at the place once.

They used it for their own purpose.

Andrew walked towards the car with Shazia in his arms, he let out a sigh as he glanced at her innocent face.

“I want to say sorry but I am not,” He whispered looking at her sleeping face.

“You know the first time I laid my eyes on you, you took my breath away, you were the best thing that could ever happen to me, until the day I got to know you were an agent, one that I was looking for,” He whispered keeping her limp body on the backseat of the car.

“I wish you were not who you are, I wish… I wish you could be mine,” He said before he closed the door of the car. Her heart was hurting he liked her… for real.

He wanted to propose her like this always and only wanted to hear a yes but then he got to know her identity.

“Shall we?” Dev asked as he walked to the car.

“Umm… Yeah,” He said clearing his throat.

“I know this isn’t easy for you,” Dev said as they settled into the car. “We know, we have to kill her even if she gives all the information, I have to kill the love of my life with my own hands,” He said punching the door.

“It never is,” Dev said in a low tone, his voice was deadly painful but horrifying as well. Maybe because he had done that. He had killed his love because of his duty for his country.

Andrew glanced at him then at the girl laying on the back side.

“Drive before I break my promise of duty for the country,” he said closing his eyes. Dev drove to their safe house.

***

The safe house was a scheduled place away from the city, no petrol pumps in the near 15 km radius gave them the advantage of fewer people even crossing the area.

Their hostages were safe here, away from the eyes of people and Italy’s government.

Dev got out and started to pull Shazia’s unconscious body harshly. “What the fuck are you doing?” Andrew asking as he glared at Dev, walking up to him, he rubbed the spot on Shazia’s hand that was turning red.

“Stop with your emotions Andrew, we may need to kill her,” Dev said rubbing his template. He was growing sick of the loves represented in front of him.

“Or not,” He said before holding her body softly, He took her in his arms and walked towards the safe house.

Keeping her on the chair of basement, Andrew looked at Dev who was setting up the cameras to record her confession and every other information.

Andrew went to grab the pen and paper, “You can fight this right?” Dev was standing right behind him as he closed the cabinet.

He could not meet his eyes,” this feeing, which is asking you to kill me and run away from our duty,” Dev stated as Andrew smiled.

The smile was nothing like a happy one but more of a psychopathic, “I’m tempted,” that was all he said before they heard the sound of heels echoing.

Andrew loaded his gun and Dev grabbed his knife before they walked to the room they left Shazia in.

“I see you missed my smell,” Andrew heard as they opened the door.

“Of that pussy, yeah,” he said as he looked at the girl whom he drugged not so long ago.

“Let’s sit, Shall we?” Dev asked pointing his knife at her as her eyes traveled to the gun in Andrew’s hands.
