“Sign this and get lost,” the general Kadir said to the girl standing in front of him as he threw the papers at her.
“General, this is not how the system works,” she dared to raise her voice against him but he took two strides in front of her before a loud slap echoed in the dark room.
The light coming from behind flickered as she looked at him. Her red eyes gave away the amount of pain she was experiencing.
“Dealing with the Russians, behind the back of your mulk (country) you should be murdered for this,” he said as his hand reached her cheek one more time.
Her body was burnished badly, one would be horrified to see the amount of red, black and purple marks on her body; the tank top on her body was barely covering her chest as it was torn from all sides.
That is how much they beat her.
Her eyes were swollen, not from crying but because she received punches on them.
“If you had not been my niece, I would have killed you myself for going against the country,” General Kadir said as her eyes snapped to his; a small smile made its way to her cut up lips.
It pained to even smile as well.
“Why are you saving me General Kadir, I deserve to be killed like other officers,” She said as she finally managed to open the knot of the ropes her hands were tied by.
“Maybe because I raised you Shazia khan, like a daughter I may add,” Kadir khan’s voice first time had a hint of warmth in it.
Unlike the cold aura like always, he was giving a hint of humanity in him. He knows sending her away may cost him his life, he was betraying his words as an officer.
“General Kadir, the situation demanded the need to kill those two, it was simplify a collateral damage,” She said, her voice cold as if someone who died in her cross shooting did not take lives of 50 people, including women and children along with 30 males.
“These are your tickets to USA, go away from here and never return,” General Kadir said as he passed the stamp pad to her.
“In the files you are going to declare me dead?” She asked as she looked at the papers in her hand.
“They know you will not sign so the last option is killing you and taking your thumb print,” He said.
“I want to talk to the wazir-e-azam, General,” Shania said after thinking for a few moments.
It was not even a second later a gunshot sound filled the room. Shazia fell on the floor, a bullet in her chest as she looked in front of her.
General Kadir shot her.
“I asked you to leave, respectfully, but you chose this,” He said before spreading petrol all around the room.
“Now in the files, this will just be a collateral damage, a banished officer died in the office fire,” he said as her eyes fluttered close, the struggle with pain to stay alive was making her go insane already. She was trying her best to press pressure on the wound.
The burning pain flew in her veins as General Kadir kicked her stomach. “ughhhh,” She cried as a tear escaped her eyes.
Kadir looked at the camera and smiled, “Delete it,” He said, knowing very well his men on the other side will delete it in the next second, Kadir threw a bit of petrol on the camera as well and walked out of the room before he turned around and lit a lighter.
“NOoooo!” her scream echoed in the whole place but there was no one to help her. Shania Khan was going to die this way.
Kadir dropped the lighter on the ground within a second the petrol caught fire. Shazia looked around crawling. She has to get out of there otherwise they would burn her alive.
The system would not let her live nor die.
The fire spread in the room within seconds as a smile made its way to his lips, “Khuda hafiz,” (goodbye) walking away he did not even once flinch as the screams echoed in the hall.
The red alert filled the place as security door were closed in the next second as they detected fire.
“Everyone out, call the fireman someone!” Kadir acted as if he was very frightened.
“General Kadir!” they ran out from the fire exit as he pretended to look for Shazia.
“Anyone seen Shazia? Shazia?” He acted so well, as if he was so worried about his niece!
“Someone please look for Shazia! Shazia!” He cried like a helpless father as the other higher officers looked at him.
“Shazia my child!” he cried helplessly.
“General Kadir we will find her, don’t worry!” They said as the security alarm stopped for a second before the place they came off from blasted throwing all of them away from the force of fire.
“SHAZIA!” he called for her but there was no answer other than the loud ringing in his ears.
“Goodbye Shazia Khan!” He murmured under his breath as he continued to look for her calling her name.
.
General Kadir Khan,” Major Sheik stood in front of him as he stood up giving him a salute. It was his duty no matter how happy or sad he was.
He had to follow the rules.
“Will you be able to identify, Shazia khan by her belongings?” Major sheik asked as he stood still for a few seconds as if he got the biggest shock of his life.
“Yes major,” his voice was low almost broken.
“I know this is not easy for you but Shazia was found dead in the fire,” Major announced as Kadir looked at the bag in Major’s hands.
“She cheated the country, she cheated me but she was still my niece,” he whispered.
“She got what she deserved, General Kadir,” Major Sheik said. His voice held no remorse. And why would he? He was happy a cheater of the country was gone, for good!
“Body 78’s belongings,” it read as he internally danced. Shazia was dead. His happiness just increased when he saw the chain of his late sister in the bag around with some burned stuff.
He pretended to fell on the floor as he looked at the chain in his hand.
“It’s Shazia’s,” he announced and just like that. Shazia khan was declared dead.
“jo ishq faana na kar de, wo ishq kesa?”Watching him nod at the other guy, she hide behind the wall.“Get away, she is about to reach,” he looked around as she wiped a tear from her eyes. Taking a deep breath.‘Why did I even wish he will different,’ she whispered to herself before she walked ahead with a neutral expression. He was looking at her, like he always did but today she was not looking at him like she always did. He was a deceiver.Deceivers deserve to die.“Hi baby,” He handed me the basket like he always did.“Where are we going?” She asked with a small smile on her face, trying to keep her anxiety at bay. She would not let it show.“I have a sexy surprise for you,” he said with a wink, Shazia smiled and turned her face in the other direction. She did not want to show her true emotions.Well she will, not right now.Half an hour later, he stopped in front of a restaurant. Shazia held her breath, ‘Did I judge him wrong?’ Her thoughts came to an end when he opened the door
Shazia looked at the chair as her eyes scanned the room, she was looking for a way to escape those two.“You can’t escape, there’s only one way, this door,” Dev said cockily as Shazia gulped, slowly taking the seat, her eyes stayed on Andrew, who had a stone expression on his face.Dev held the camera in his hand and pulled the drawer open. Keeping the tripod on the desk, he set it up as it showed her face correctly.“Why did you do that?” Andrew was the one to ask. His voice was loud in the small furniture-less place; Shazia gulped, closing her eyes.‘I can’t be weak, I can’t be weak,’ she chanted in her mind until he banged his hand on the desk, making blood slip down his hand. Her whole body shook with fear. She never liked violence. It made her remember the way her father used to beat her mother. It was a triggering memory Shazia flinched as she eyed his hand and then his injured hand.“Why?” He asked once again, his eyes were turning red with each passing moment. He just wanted
Shazia moved a little away from Andrew as his jaw clenched, she was walking away from him. Just like that? The thought did not go well with him.“I see my last wish is here,” Shazia said happily as Dev glanced at Andrew.“What? Pass it to me,” She said, showing her all 36 teeth; Dev wanted nothing more than to throw the water at her face.‘What did my brother see in her?’ He was forced to think. Making a disgusted face, he slid the glass towards her as she smiled, holding the glass like a little girl.“I was really craving some ice,” She said, happily sucking on the piece of block ice as Andrew glanced at her; after all, this was the last time he was going to see her alive.Dev looked away, bored from the whole situation, taking a seat. He stared at the wall zoning out in his own world of memories.Shazia drank some water and closed her eyes. The cold water calmed her nerves, maybe even freezing them a bit, but she did not mind.“Your five minutes are up, Shazia,” Andrew said in a low
“Awe, my little munchkin,” Saba coed the small 2-year-old as he threw his legs in the air making her smile. Throwing all her hair on the other side, she took a little more baby oil in her hands and rubbed her palms before massaging the baby’s body, which was enjoying it to the fullest.“Elena, calm down baby,” the baby’s mother, Charlotte, came inside the room with a smile on her face.“ma.. mah,” She said in her baby tongue as she tried to run towards her mother, “Elena, be careful,” Saba was quick to hold her before she could fall down from the bed. Thank fuck to the pillow wall she placed on the side of the bed.“My goodness, are you okay, baby?” Charlotte asked her daughter as Saba moved aside, making way for the mother-daughter duo.“Here, drink it,” She was about to feed Elena with the bottle when Saba took the bottle from her hands.“What’s the matter?” Charlotte asked in a harsh tone as Saba kept the bottle away from her reach.“Mam, I just gave her a massage, it is not good f
Jesse served the coffee to the old couple who always came to her bakery they smiled, “Goodnight honey,” She smiled at them as they walked out. Jesse felt the presence of someone in the bakery as she looked around, only to find him standing at the door.“Leave me!” She cried as he choked her throat even more, his fingers were surely going to leave marks on her skin.Tears started to burn her eyes as she wiggled in his grip, “St-op,” She cried, but he held her tighter, cutting off her oxygen supply completely.“Ja.. Jacob!” She breathed as he loosened his grip around her throat. Not having any more energy in her body, she fell on the floor coughing hard. Her face turned red as she wiped her tears, still coughing, trying to suck in as much oxygen as she could.“You had one job!” he yelled at her as she closed her eyes in fear. She soothed her aching throat with her fingers as she glanced at him.His irritated self threw the water glass directly at her face, making her cough with shock ag
What should I do with you now?” She asked, as his throat turned dry. She said, her hand wrapped around his throat.“Give me some more time,” he said as he closed his eyes for a second.“tsk, tsk, tsk, more time? How come I trust you again?” She asked in a rough voice. A drop of sweat rolled down from his forehead as a shiver went down his spine.“Trust me one last time,” he said, trying to be confident, but he looked more like a scared wet cat out of the gutter.“Lies are not trusted. What do you keep as collateral?” She asked as he nodded, handing her a pen drive.“University’s map and camera loophole ways to reach the lab,” he said internally, praying that she agreed on this to give him some time.“impressive but not enough. You promised me the information today,” She said, applying more pressure on his neck, making it hard for him to breathe.“I a—am t—trying,” He let out the words with more difficulty.“You beat that woman for the one you claimed to love, didn’t you?” she asked as
Saba looked at her reflection as she stood in front of the gates of Jacob’s mansion. Holding her purse nervously in her hands, she bit her lips, looking around. She was waiting for permission to go in like she did every day.“You may go in, mam,” the gatekeeper said as she nodded with a small smile.“Martha, can you tell me where Mr. Jacob is?” She asked the headmaid who happened to be her friend.“Of course, He just told me to send a coffee to his study,” Martha said as she handed Saba the tray and placed two coffees in that tray.“Do you mind taking these two to his study, since you seem like going to meet him?” She asked with a teasing smile, “Sure,” she nodded. This was the best way to meet him without any awkward reasons. Saba walked up the stairs to his study room.Taking a deep breath, Saba raised her hand to knock on the door. When she did not hear any reply from the others, she knocked again but the door was open.Glancing at the door again, she pushed it open to walk inside,
Jacob made a fist of his hand as he turned to his wife, " I have something for you," he said, as Charlotte smiled. "Oh really?" She smiled, taking his forward hand. It's been quite some time since he gifted something to her. "Slow down, I am still sore," She said, blushing away as he nodded, taking slow steps now. He took her quite rough an hour ago. Jacob took her to the room connected to his study. Charlotte looked at him with a smile as he pressed a kiss on her lips. "I have a gift for you," he said as she smiled, taking a seat on the bed. She watched him open the cabinet near the bed. He handed her a set of papers and a pen. Charlotte's smile dropped as she read the agreement. "What kind of sick joke is this, Jacob?" She asked, throwing the divorce papers on the bed. Her eyes filled with water, she loved this man so much and here he was handing her divorce papers. No way was she going to sign them. "I am giving you half of this property along with Elena's co-parenting custo
