Saba looked at her reflection as she stood in front of the gates of Jacob’s mansion. Holding her purse nervously in her hands, she bit her lips, looking around. She was waiting for permission to go in like she did every day.

“You may go in, mam,” the gatekeeper said as she nodded with a small smile.

“Martha, can you tell me where Mr. Jacob is?” She asked the headmaid who happened to be her friend.

“Of course, He just told me to send a coffee to his study,” Martha said as she handed Saba the tray and placed two coffees in that tray.

“Do you mind taking these two to his study, since you seem like going to meet him?” She asked with a teasing smile, “Sure,” she nodded.

This was the best way to meet him without any awkward reasons. Saba walked up the stairs to his study room.

Taking a deep breath, Saba raised her hand to knock on the door. When she did not hear any reply from the others, she knocked again but the door was open.

Glancing at the door again, she pushed it open to walk inside,
