Chapter 7: BLACK MIST FOREST

After Tazaana woke up, she left the room to take a walk around the castle.While she was walking around, she came across Jayda with her friends.With a fierce face, Jayda came to her and said,

"Look what we found here, a rat or a disgusting mage?" while laughing at Tazaana along with her friends. Jayda added, "just because King Everett ordered no one can hurt you, don't be arrogant and too sure you're safe here."

Suddenly, Everett interrupted, "Jayda, what are you doing?" Jayda was shocked to hear the voice of Everett. Jayda pretended that he only greeted Tazaana, but from Tazaana's face, it was not like she was greeted well by Jayda.

Everett said, "Tazaana, come with me." She came closer to Everett, and they left Jayda behind.

Jayda's angry feelings erupted in embarrassment in front of her friends because everyone knew Jayda had feelings for Everett.

Everett and Tazaana are in the castle tower. She asks, "Your Majesty, what are we doing here?"

Everett replied, "exploring outside the castle." Hearing Everett's words, she was overjoyed, as she had longed to explore the realm of black mist since arriving here.

Everett looked at her and said, "What should I do to you? It looks like I should carry you."

She replied shyly, "I can walk."

Everett approached her and replied, "walking will take a long time." Everett pulled her and put her on his back.

"Are you ready?" Everett asked, as he stood at the far end of the corner of the castle tower.

She was shocked and asked, "are we walking from here?"

Everett replied, "no, but we will jump."

Everett jumped from the castle tower. She screamed in shock and hugged Everett's body. Everett jumped on every tree and stopped at one of the taller trees.

Everett said, "it's alright, you can open your eyes now." She opened her eyes and was fascinated by the beauty of the realm of black mist. There is a colourful light that looks like a galaxy. She thought frightening darkness only surrounded the realm of Black Mist. But that darkness also looks beautiful.

"Should we continue our journey? Don't close your eyes," Everett said.

He jumped on every tree, arrived at one place. Everett went down the tree and lowered her with his back. She was stunned to see something and asked, "What is that place?"

Everett replied, "That is the Magic kingdom. They live there."

She asked, "Did the Magic kingdom and vampire kingdom be divided into two? Even the environment looks much different."

"You are right, we divide the kingdom of magic and vampire in two." He told me.

"May I know why mages and vampires are enemies?"

Everett replied, "because mages and vampires cannot live together. 300 years ago, a mage betrayed and killed my ancestors. Since then, the vampires have severed ties with mages."

She asked, "I want to know how old are you?"

"650 years." It stunned her to hear his age.

Everett asked, "You said you came from the earth, but how can you get into the realm of Black Mist?"

She replied while showing her necklace, "through this necklace, on the full moon I recited the spell, there is written on the back of this pendant.

"What is written?" He added.

"WHEN DAY AND NIGHT MEET, BLACK MIST OCCURS."

Everett was silent for a moment after listening. "Your Majesty, are you alright?" She asked.

"Don't call me Your Majesty, just call me Everett." He said Tazaana replied, "but you are a king,"

"But I am not your king. I am the king of the vampires but not you, and you can call my name when we are alone."

She looked at Everett, and her heart was pounding. She said in her heart.

"What happened? Why is my heart pounding?"

Suddenly, in the forest, a loud growling noise was heard. She was shocked and asked, "What's that sound?"

Everett replied, "it's the voice of the Ogre. Do you want to look at them?"

She looked hesitant. "It's fine," Everett said. "We're just peeking". She hugged Everett's back, and he hurried towards the sound and stopped behind a tree.

He said, "You see, it's an Ogre."

She did not expect to see an Ogre in front of her eyes. Suddenly, a large piece of wood flew towards them, but Everett repulsed the wood with his right hand. Five ogres ran towards them.

Everett said, while lifting his right eyebrow. "It seems our presence is already known. Stay here, Tazaana."

He comes towards the Ogres and fights with them. The fights look tragic.

Everett penetrates his hand into one of the Ogre's hearts and removes it.

The other ogre is beheaded.

After a few minutes, the fighting was over. All the Ogres were dead. He came to her and Tazaana looked shocked, as it was the first time she had seen such a scene. Everett stared at her and said, "I must kill them, otherwise we will be killed."

She nodded her head, a sign she understood. Everett took her back to the castle. He put her down on the balcony of her bedroom. She asked, "why enter through the balcony?"

"So no one knew we left the castle, especially Xavier. He will not let his king out alone. Have a good rest, Tazaana."

He smiled at her for the first time. It made her heart beat faster, and she couldn't say anything. Thereafter, he left her. She touched her chest and said, "what happened to my heart, why is it beating so fast? Maybe I'm tired and need to rest."
