Chapter 8: ENCOUNTER

Tazaana was startled and woke up from sleep, as she heard a noise. She cleaned herself and changed her clothes, and left the room. She goes out to see what is going on and sees Everett is fighting with Xavier. Xavier stopped when he saw Tazaana. And the man who looked like Everett even turned to look backward.

She was shocked. The man she thought was Everett but wasn't. They have the same hair color, eye color, a similar body shape, and the same height, but he has mid-back-length hair.

The man frowned at Tazaana and walked towards Tazaana. Tazaana stepped back a few steps. And the man said, "Who are you? You're not a vampire, and I've never seen you."

She looked at Xavier because she didn't know what to say.

Xavier speaks up, "she's a half-mage, her name is Tazaana."

"What do you mean, she's a half-mage?" with a face full of questions.

"She's half-human and half-mage," Xavier answered.

"And what is this creature doing here?" while pointing a finger at Tazaana.

She felt insulted because of the man's expressions.

"I found her in the Black Mist forest and brought her here. The king let her stay here and did not let anyone hurt her."

He laughed a little at Xavier's words.

"Violent and feared king, let this woman live." He said, with a disbelieving face.

"Edenfer!" Everett interrupted, with a serious face.

He turned to look and saw Everett.

"Oh, my brother, I haven't seen you in a long time. Oh, do you let this woman live? Isn't she our enemy?" while pointing at her?

"Are they brothers? I'm curious. They are siblings?" She said in her heart.

Everett looked at her and said, "I have my reason."

"Your reason? Don't tell me you have feelings for this woman."

My cheeks were red from hearing him say that.

Everett frowned. "Her name is Tazaana," he corrected.

"This is my little brother, Edenfer," Everett told her.

"Nice to meet you," she said in a low voice.

He just stared at me and blurted, "I like you, let's be friends even if we are enemies."

It shocked me to hear his words. Earlier, he behaved as if he hated me, but now he wishes to be friends. He stared at me and laughed out loud. And that confuses me more. He wishes to be friends with me or mocks me.

"Edenfer!" Everett spoke up.

"I'm sorry, but looking at her confused face, it looks so funny," he said while holding back a laugh.

Both of them have different characters. Everett looked more serious, scary, and rarely smiled, but I saw him smile once. But Edenfer is a cheerful man and not afraid of his brother. I hope this guy named Edenfer is trustworthy.

Xavier, who was standing speechless earlier, spoke.

"Your Highness, we must go now," he said to Edenfer.

"All right, I'll leave first. Have a nice day, Tazaana," and he winked at me and smiled at Everett, then went away.

Now only me and Everett are left behind. He just stared at me and made me blush in embarrassment.

"I'm busy today. You can walk alone, but make sure you never get out of the castle. "

I nodded.

Then he walked away.

"Why is he so serious? Yesterday he wasn’t like that," I said.

"Who?" Aira suddenly spoke from behind me as she looked around.

I was shocked and jumped and almost cursed.

"Nothing," I said.

"You want to follow me to feed the dragons," Aira said with a smiling face.

"Dragons?" I asked with a surprised face. "Do they exist, impossible?"

Aira was shocked to hear me and chuckled. "Everything is possible in the realm of Black Mist," she said.

Then I followed her to the back of the castle. Aira was whistling and some flying dragons came. It stunned me to see it for the first time. Aira took the deer meat and gave it to the dragons.

"You want to feed them?" Aira said.

"Yes," I said.

I held the deer meat and stared at a white dragon. The white dragon just stared at me and suddenly walked towards me. The beauty and size of his body fascinated me. The white dragon snorted at me, and I was shocked and closed my eyes.

Aira laughed and said, "I think he likes you. This dragon belongs to King Everett."

"What's his name?"

"Pendragon," she said.

And I reached out to feed him.

"Pendragon, this is for you," I said.

He put the deer meat into his mouth and swallowed it.

Suddenly, I felt like caressing him. I rubbed his head, and the dragon looked happy.

"Let's be friends," I added.

The dragon stared at me as if he understood what I was saying.

"Alright, done, let's go," Aira said.

"Can I be here for a moment? I'll go inside later, "I told Aira.

Aira hesitated.

"Fine, after that, please go inside the castle, it's not safe for you to be outside alone," she replied.

I nodded.

I continued to caress Pendragon.

"Didn't I tell you not to leave the castle?"

I turned to look and saw Everett walking towards me.

"I'm sorry, I came with Aira earlier. But I like this dragon too much, so I... I." I said in a guilty voice.
