CHAPTER 16: TRUE FEELING

I went back to the bedroom; I felt pain all over my body. I lay down and fell asleep.

I felt like someone was watching me. I opened my eyes and saw Everett was sitting next to me and looking at me. I tried to get up, but I groaned in pain.

"Just lie down, no need to get up." He spoke gently.

He touched my cheek and said,

"Does it hurt? I'm sorry I'm late." I saw Everett's face and my heart was thumping fast.

"It hurts, but I feel discomfort in my heart. When I see you, my heart is beating fast. Am I okay?" I said while touching my chest.

"You're fine, don't worry." He answered gently. I stared at him and said.

"Everett, about Jason. It is not my intention to interfere, but I'm not happy if you killed him because of me. I know he's wrong, but I don't want anyone killed because of me. I don't want to be hated." Tazaana said in a sad tone.

"I'm sorry for making you sad. I just want to protect you." Everett replied.
