78 Awake

Willow

I opened my eyes as if I had been in a deep sleep. My vision was blurry, and I wondered if I was being judged or had been cast back into the underworld.

There was something strange about my environment. It was warm and familiar.

Though blurry, there was sunlight, and there was fresh air.

I could smell waffles with strawberries, just like the type my mother used to make for breakfast in our cottage in Brent woods.

Tears welled up in my eyes. Thinking my soul must be wandering through the vast sea of memories. What a way to live my eternal life.

"Raya," I called on my wolf.

"Willow," she replied, and I was glad we were still together.

I wanted to laugh, and I wanted to cry at the same time.

Where was Christopher? Was he fine? Did he forgive my sacrifice? Did it work, and were they living a normal life? I had so many questions, but I doubted this heaven would bring me answers.
