I turned at the call, smiling as Hazel ran towards me. “See mummy, I drew a cat!” she yelled out.

“Oh, darling.” I got down on one knee so I could hug her. “Let's see.” I took the drawing book from her and made a surprised expression at the cat she drew.

“It's wonderful!” I leaned down and placed a kiss on her forehead. “Soon, you will be so good at this, you will beat the best artists in the entire world.”

“Even the humans?” She looked up, her eyes sparkling.

“Yeah, those.” I patted her red hair, which was so much like my father's. Well, our babies all had red hair and blue eyes. I assumed they would have the same hair as their fathers, but they took after their grandfather.

“Mum!” Scarlet and Blue ran towards me, yelling as they tried to outrun each other.

Seeing how delighted they were at my return, you would think I left them for a trip, not knowing I just returned from work.
