Chapter 23: One foot in front of the other

Lola knows their presence had made so much difference in her life today, Their happy and worried faces that greeted her earlier and their tight hugs had opened a window in her darkening world letting a warm ray of sunshine in. That overwhelming sadness and heaviness in her heart is somehow alleviated with the presence of those three. What would life be like for her without them? They enable her to to always put one foot in front of the other.

Life has been tough and rough but having her friends had made it bearable specially not having any family around. She pushed herself to stand up and move around do a little tidying up moving and keeping herself busy would take things of her mind.
