Chapter 6 Here's a Good Luck Charm

Their gazes stayed on Yuna, seeming as if these men were ready to devour her any minute. However, she wasn't mad. Instead, she laughed. "Yvan is indeed an unlucky man. But do you guys think you are lucky enough?"

Immediately, the lively atmosphere became awkward. Yuna swirled the wine in her glass and looked around. "I wasn't even interested in a man like Yvan Jenkins; what gives you the idea that I would be interested in guys like you all? I'm really curious. What did my father tell you guys to give you all the confidence to sit here?"

Everyone's face was contorted with rage, as nobody expected Yuna to ridicule them.

Suddenly, a fat man slammed his fist on the table. "Yuna Feron! Who do you think you are to act so arrogantly in front of us? Humph, are you using the fact that you studied abroad to give yourself some extra credit after being divorced?"

Another guy went up beside Yuna and placed his hands on her shoulders. He gave her a wretched smile. "Yuna, as a woman, you should be obedient. Don't think of yourself as some high-class socialite. Otherwise, why would your father be in such a rush to get you married? You're lucky that we show interest in you."

Everyone in the room laughed at his comment.

"Then, let me give you a little good luck charm." Yuna splashed the wine on his face.

The guy cursed and was about to teach her a lesson. When he raised his hand, the door opened. There stood Yvan, whose gaze was locked on someone he could not forget.

"M—Mr. Jenkins."

At that moment, everyone was shocked. Why did Yvan suddenly appear in this room?

With a frown, Yvan walked to Yuna, gazing at the guy's hand. Scared, the guy instantly let go of her. However, Yuna didn't seem surprised by his arrival. On the contrary, she smiled brightly, as if she had seen an old friend. "It's been a long time, Mr. Jenkins."

Yvan was stunned. It turned out Yuna was still alive. Although he only saw a glimpse of her figure, the curiosity in his heart made him investigate the truth. He didn't expect the waiter to tell him, "Ms. Feron is having a blind date session."

At first, Yvan thought it was the other daughter of the Ferons, but the waiter said it was Yuna. Of course, he didn't believe it. On impulse, he had to find the truth—only to discover it was really her. Inexplicably, he felt angry after finding out she was on a blind date.

"After disappearing for seven years, you're so anxious to get married and go on a blind date with so many people at once?" Yvan squinted, his emotions unidentifiable.

Yuna smiled mirthfully at Yvan. "Yes. After all, I'm getting old, and I should get myself married soon. It's just that I didn't expect to meet a bunch of crooked men."

Suddenly, she acted coquettishly. "The most wretched thing is that they dared speak badly of you to my face. They ruined your reputation, so I was mad and threw the wine at him. Who knew he wanted to beat me up? Mr. Jenkins, I offended them to help you, so you must help me in turn."

"Oh?" When Yvan gave that response, no one in the room dared make a sound.

However, a guy spoke up, "Mr. Jenkins, don't believe her. How could we speak badly about you? This woman is disorderly. She—"

"Who do you think I would believe more? My ex-wife or a stranger?" Yvan calmly asked.
