Chapter 3 Seven Years Later

Seven years later, Yuna pulled her suitcase out of the airport. When she just turned on her phone, she received a call. A gentle and calm voice sounded. "Surra, have you safely reached Jefton City?"

"I just reached."

"There'll be someone waiting for you at the exit. She's from the West Drew Institute. The news of you joining them has spread. I believe there will be many companies that would like to partner with you for their research. Do you want me to help you filter those companies, or do you want to do it yourself?"

A familiar face appeared in Yuna's mind, and her gaze turned cold. "It's okay. I'll do it myself."

The man on the phone didn't persist. Instead, he said in a doting manner, "Okay. Please take care of yourself. If there's anything you need, call me."

After bidding her once-upperclassman goodbye, she saw a sign with her name written on it. She saw that a young lady was waving the sign. Then, she looked around, lowered her head, quickly walked over, and took down the sign. She smiled, "Hello."

"Are you Surra?" the young lady identified her at a glance and asked excitedly.

"That's me." Yuna showed her work permit.

"Welcome to Jefton City!" The young lady enthusiastically grabbed her idol's hand. She finally got the chance to meet the person she admired in person!

"My name is Rose Xavier. You can also call me Rosy or whatever you wish."

"Nice to meet you, Rosy. Let's go."

When Yuna got into the car, Yvan, who had also exited the airport, was in a daze as he saw a familiar figure. He stood in place, and his gaze fell on a van. He was shocked that he thought about Yuna.

Seven years ago, he suddenly received the news of Yuna's death in a car crash. At that moment, he felt a sense of shock and sadness. But it was only for a short while. However, he had been thinking about her more frequently these past few years. Sometimes, he would have illusions.

"Mr. Jenkins, Ms. Bailey has booked a restaurant for dinner. Should I cancel the other agendas scheduled for this evening?"

"Yes."

On the way, Rose was like an excited bird chirping away. She introduced many sights and delicious food in Jefton City to Yuna. But Yuna was indifferent as this was the city she had lived in for 20-plus years, so she knew it better than anyone else. However, she realized so much had changed in seven years.

Seven years ago, she had encountered an accident after getting the news of her pregnancy. When she was about to faint, she heard the perpetrator making a call about the money he would get for hitting her. At the end of the call, she heard him say, "Mr. Jenkins."

Yuna felt as if her world had collapsed when she heard the name. She couldn't believe the person who took her life would be Yvan. He never intended to let her live, even if she had signed the papers and left.

When she thought she and her children would die, her teacher rushed back from abroad and took her there secretly. In the end, she and her children survived. If not, she wouldn't be standing here today.

After seven years, it was time to take revenge. Yuna suppressed her anger and said, "Rosy, can you please take me somewhere?"

At the Feron house, Yuna stood at the door and rang the doorbell. Who would've guessed that a daughter of the family would have to go in like a visitor when she returned home.

"Ms. Feron! You're back!" The housekeeper at the entrance was surprised when she opened the door.

Yuna muttered her greetings and asked, "Where is my father?"

"Mr. Feron is in the study. I'll go and tell him about your arrival."

"No need. I know the way." Yuna entered, ignoring the people in the living room, and went upstairs.
