Chapter 1

The room is dark except for a light at the furthest end of the room. A small lamp is lit in the window behind some dark heavy curtains, and I try to adjust my eyes to the darkness.

My head is pounding hard and I have to take my hands up to my head and just hold it, whatever I have been drugged with I'm defenseless this way. My stomach hurts but I try to stand up from the hard floor I'm laying on.

Looking down at my body, I'm only wearing my pants and a sweater. My shoes and jacket are gone with my handbag.

I have no idea for how long I have been laying on the hard floor with the amount of pain I feel in my hip and back.

Fear courses through my body when it hit me I've been kidnapped!

Using the wall for support to get up from the floor I manage to stand up, the room is moving in front of my eyes and I have to close them and just try to breathe. I'm dizzy from what they have been giving me.

I hear footsteps outside the room and slowly try to move my head to where the sound is coming from.

I see a door on the opposite wall and light is coming under the door.

Trying to remember the last thing I know happened and where I could possibly be!

I don't recognize the room and the last thing I remember is when I was walking on the way to the supermarket. I needed some groceries for dinner and when I stepped outside it was raining.

Remember I turned back inside and fetch an umbrella before walking out of the door and closing it after me. I love to walk to the supermarket even if it rains and today wasn't an exception.

Our driver was at home and I could have taken the car but on my days I haven't much time left from all the shores I need to have done before everyone else comes home.

This is my chance to get a walk and some fresh air. Loving every minute of it I'm happily walking down the sidewalk.

Rain is pouring down my umbrella and I hold it closer down my head while I keep my eyes on the pavement in front of me.

The walk doesn't take longer than twenty minutes before I reach the store. Closing my umbrella I walk inside and start to gather the things I need.

Remember I accidentally bumped into a big bulky guy when I took a step backward from the shelf without looking if someone was behind. I excused myself but he just mumbled something and averted his eyes. I never got a real look at him before he walked away, leaving me standing and looking at his back with a frown on my face. I've got an odd feeling about him!

I shook it off and continued gathering the things I needed. Taking my time before I'm done and head over to pay for them, I'm alone when I reach the cashier and we chatt for a couple of minutes. I meet the old man a lot when I'm usually here shopping and he is very nice.

Our conversations often include good food suggestions and the weather. The same as today!

I have been going to this store alone since I was eleven and now I have just turned nineteen. All these years and he feels like an old friend to me! It's nice to meet him and chatting a few minutes. Sometimes it's the only social conversation I get during the day.

When I have paid and packed my stuff in my bag I say goodbye and head out in the rain again. Looking around before I take up my umbrella I don't see anyone close by.

Stepping out in the rain I start my walk back home, lost in my own thoughts I don't notice when I walk right into someone. The bag slipped from my hold and falls to the pavement, my groceries scatter out from the bag.

I just say sorry without looking at who I ran into before I drop to the ground and start gathering my things again.

Remember I was occupied with picking up my food and I didn't notice until it was too late before someone covered my mouth and nose with a cloth drenched in something that makes my head spin violently. I try to fight the person of me but I'm being forcefully held in place by a couple of big arms. Right before I pass out I feel like I'm being lifted off the ground.

That's all I remember before I woke up here!

I didn't get to see the person behind it nor did I hear him talk. It was a man I'm sure of it with the size of his arms.

I lean at the wall and try to calm my raising heart down. I don't have any enemies that I know of and why would anyone ever want to kidnap me? I'm nobody!

My head starts to hurt and I feel tears threaten to spill over any minute now. Would they even notice I'm gone? And do they care that much to come and look for me?

I feel defeated when I hear several heavy footsteps walk closer to my door. Panic curse through my body and I try to look around for any place to take shelter behind or something to defend myself with but all that's in this room is a bed and a chair beside it. Nothing else!

I don't have my strength back yet to try and defend myself with the chair, don't know if it could even be a weapon with the number of heavy feets I hear on the other side of the wall.

They stop right outside of the door and I hear someone fiddle with some keys before placing them in the door and unlocking it.

My heart is about to beat out of my chest and it starts to ring in my ears from me panicking. It feels like it takes forever, and I'm going to die from a heart attack before the door is slowly opened. I don't see anything else at first but some lights coming inside the room, then a tall and dark person appears in the doorway. I don't see his face in the darkness but I feel his cold aura even from where I stand. My legs are about to go out under me when I see him take long strides toward where I stand!
