Chapter 5

Elena pov

It's pitch black all around me in the room, I hear another heavy breathing and I know I'm not alone in here.

My breath hitches in my body when I see his yellow frightening eyes on the other side of the room!

My heart beats hard in my chest and I feel my pulse in my ears when he slowly starts to move forward toward me. I try to move my hands and feets but I'm tied to the bed and can't move. My arms are over my head and I try to pull them down with all strength I got, but they won't budge.

My legs are tied far apart and I already know the purpose of this.

A chill runs over my skin and I know without seeing that I'm all naked. His yellow scary eyes almost glow in the dark when he comes closer with every step he takes.

Fear takes over in my body for what punishment worse than death he will execute on me. Tears start to run down my cheeks and I can't hold in a cry!

"Ma'am"

He is almost right in front of the end of the bed and I can't stop my pleading even if he said I wasn't allowed to ever speak to him again.

"P..please! Please!" I beg him in the strongest voice I manage to squeeze out. The bed dip between my legs and I start to shake in my body from fear.

"Ma'am"

His hand comes up slowly and grabs my pussy with force. I whimper out in pain and try to beg him again.

"Please," I say between sobs when his hand suddenly comes up and starts to shake my arm violently.

"Ma'am! You need to wake up, you're having a nightmare!" I hear a voice and shoot my head right up with a scream making the person beside me jump up from the seat.

Looking around and trying to figure out where I am from my nightmare I wipe away my tears and swallow a cry.

It takes me a moment before I come back to my senses and know where I am. Looking around I'm still on the bus and I must have fallen asleep. I try to steady my heart while I look for my bag that has fallen to the ground.

I lean forward and quickly pick it up and hold it tight to my chest. In here is everything I own and it's what's keeping me alive.

"It must have been one hell of a nightmare you had," says the middle age woman who is sitting beside me in the seat.

I sigh and try to calm down the best I can from the nightmare before I manage to answer her.

"Yes! I'm sorry if I scared you" I say and look out the window. It's almost night and I guess we have just a short journey left before we reach the destination of this bus ride. Since I got in the car eight months ago with the old woman I have been on the run. Constantly looking over my shoulder and try not to draw any attention toward me.

During my longest stay in a city, I have stayed for two months before I didn't dare to stay any longer and left to find another city.

I can never forget that night and the monster with yellow eyes that haunts me every night and day. When the old lady dropped me off at the bus station I took the first available bus I found. Didn't care where ever it took me just far away from there. For a week I didn't manage to relax and stay in one place. I found it somewhat safer to be on the road on a bus. Several of the bus drivers let me ride with them without having to pay and I guess it has something to do with my appearance. I was more blue and yellow than my usual skin color, some even walked up and gave me some money when I was about to leave.

One woman wished me a safe place to stay away from the man who had beaten me up that way.

I was grateful for all the help I got from strangers and they helped me to stay floating a lot longer.

It took my ankle two weeks to heal properly before I could manage and get a job. I haven't stayed long on anyone and often just took jobs for the day or weak before moving on and finding a new one.

My fear of being found is too severe and I can't relax anywhere. My nights are always invaded by him and I often only get a few hours before I wake up from a nightmare. These days I don't even know what day or month it is longer. I don't care!

Just trying to stay alive and without being found.

"It's alright! Are you on your way to meet family?" Comes the woman's voice and I swallow a lump in my throat before answering.

"Yes, I am!" I say and lie to her. keeping my eyes looking out the window. Tears prick behind my eyelids, but these days I'm done shredding them for a family that wishes me this pain.

When I opened the bag he gave me for the first time I found an envelope with documents and a copy of a contract where it says my family sold me to him. The amount of money he paid and that he could do what he wishes with me.

His name is signed on the paper but I can't read what it says.

I know they didn't love me from before but finding out they want to hurt me this bad was a stab to my heart and I will never forgive them for it.

The bus turns from the main road and I see the city in front of me!

About two months ago I got to hear about this city from a woman who had lived on the run before from her abusive husband, she told me is the best place to hide from any danger.

The city is controlled by the most feared Mafia man there is and no one dares to step into his city if they haven't got permission. He is the law in the city and no one goes against his words.

She told me if I ever needed to hide, this city is the best as long as you don't step in the way of the Mafia boss or his men.

I don't plan on getting in his way. I will be hiding and just taking care of my own business without drawing any eyes my way. I have learned to hide and keep out of trouble these months, I'm almost invisible to others. Good at blending in with a crowd.

Coming closer to the city which is full of life and people, I feel some relief. It's easier to go unnoticed if there are a lot of people.

The bus turns again and I see a sign on a building saying "central station" and I know we have arrived.

"If you haven't been here before I can show you the way through the station. Taxis and cars are waiting on the other side. It's a big station and easy to walk the wrong way!" The woman says before we are about to get off the bus. I just give her a nod and hold my bag tight to my chest when I start to follow her around.

She is right! the station is big and I would be lost without her help. She tells me a lot of useful things about the city. If I would look for work she writes down some names on a piece of paper while we walk. When we come closer to the main doors I stop in my track when my eyes fall on the most gorgeous man I have ever seen in my life. He almost takes my breath away when I look at him.

He is talking to someone beside him while he is leaning at a black limousine.

"What are you looking at?" The woman says and stops by my side. She follows my eyes to where I'm looking.

"Ah! You have spotted our boss. Sorry to say honey but he is one man you should stay away from. Nothing good can come out of meeting him" she says and a shiver runs down my spine.

"You mean he is the Mafia boss?" I say in shock and turn my head to look at her. I never expected a Mafia boss to be that young and gorgeous. I thought it was an old man with a cigar in his mouth on without any hair on his head. Well, I guess they don't look like in the movies!

"Yes, he is. Gorgeous but dangerous!" She says and starts to walk again. She stops and turns to me a bit in front of me.

"Just go out the doors and to the left, you will come right to the city or take a cab. Good luck!" She says and turns around.

"Thank you!" I say after her and she just turns and smiles at me before she heads out the door.

Deciding to put on my hoodie I open my bag and take it out, pulling it over my head I start to walk forward while holding my bag in my hand and placing the hood over my head.

Coming to the door I push it open and start to take the backpack on me while keeping my head down so no one sees me. I don't register the person in front of me before I bump into them.

My hand accidentally comes in contact with another hand and an electricity spark shot through my hand.

I instantly pull it away and fasten my phase to the left. Blending in a clutch of people when I hear someone shouting.

"Stop!" In a dark voice that screams authority. I don't know who they are ordering to stop but I don't dare to turn around and look.

Moving fast between people and cars I hear the person shout stop again when I feel how it starts to crawl under my skin in fright and I bolt between some houses the fastest I manage to run.

My life is on the line here!
