Chapter 9

Elena pov

Waking up the next morning to the smell of breakfast and coffee I rub my eyes to wake up before I sit up on the couch.

Trying to figure out what the clock could be right now when my eyes land on Claire who is stirring in the pot on the stove. I guess she feels my eyes on her back because she turns around and get eye contact with me.

"Good morning! Sorry if I woke you up, but I will have to leave soon" she says and I get up on my feet and start folding the blanket and place it on the pillow before taking my bag.

"I just need to use the bathroom!" I say and she gives me a nod when I take my bag and start to head over to her bathroom.

"I placed a towel for you on the sink in the bathroom if you want to take a shower there is time before breakfast is ready!" She says and I have a hard time understanding why she is this kind to me! A shower would feel nice tho.
