Forgiveness

Olivia's POV

I smiled at Austin, who returned a weak smile. It's obvious he still regretted what he did, but I hold no grudges against him.

“Olivia,” Dora's voice got my attention, and I turned to look at her.

“I understand why you did what you did. As a little girl, you were brainwashed and told a lie. Anyone could easily have done what you did, even me. So, should I blame you for it?” She smiled and moved closer to me.

“I forgive you, Olivia, and I hope you forgive me.” She smiled and hugged me. With a tear dropping on my cheek, I hugged her back.

“Thank you! Thank you for forgiving me,” I said amid tears.

“You are welcome,” Dora said, and we pulled away. I wiped off the tears on my cheek, and my eyes met with Father Darwin's. He smiled and moved forward to me.

“I was angry with you for trying to hurt my family, but just as Dora said, I understand why you tried doing it. You have been brainwashed, and anyone could easily be a victim…” He took a deep breath and smiled at me. “I have
