Getting married

Alpha Theo’s POV

With gritted teeth and clenched fists, I watched her kiss Austin right before me. Unable to withstand it, I took a step towards them, but Leo held my arm and shook his head. “Take a grip of yourself,” he said, and I groaned. “Claim her; she is ours,” Douglas howled possessively in my head, urging me to take Olivia away from Austin, but Leo was stopping me. With burning rage, I watched them kiss. After a moment, they pulled away, and Olivia smirked at me, making me grit my teeth.

“Brothers, you are here,” Austin said as he approached, his hand wrapped around Olivia's waist. “The house is full; it's just for mother and fathers to join us,” Austin said with laughter. Neither Leo nor I smiled, except Olivia. “So, what are you working on, baby?” he said to Olivia, who smiled at him.

“I have to leave; I just got a signal,” I said. “Me too,” Leo lied. Austin looked at us with worry. “Is everything okay?” he asked, and Leo responded because I wasn't going to give a response. “Yes, it's just a matter that needs our attention. I'll see you later.” He patted Austin on the shoulders, and we both teleported, arriving in Leo's room.

A grunt left my lips as I paced around with anger while Leo sat on the bed. “I can't continue with this, Leo. You can, but I can't,” I muttered angrily while Leo remained silent. “Say something; she is our mate, for goodness' sake, and not just mine. Try to say something,” I flared up at him. His quietness and the way he was handling things were frustrating me.

“And what do you want me to do, Theodore?” He called my name fully, which he only does when he is usually angry. “The young lady doesn't want to accept us as her mates; it seems she loves Austin and wants to be with him,” he said, and that got me flared up. “So we are going to allow it?” I asked with a raised eyebrow, and he did not give a response to my questions.

“This is unbelievable,” I grunted and scattered my hair with my finger while I continued pacing around. “Calm down; let's think of what to do,” he suggested, and I glared at him. “There is nothing to think about, Leo. That woman is our mate, and we will have to tell everyone about it,” I stated firmly, and Leo sighed.

“Don't be selfish; think about Austin, think about his condition. You know how much that will hurt him,” Leo said, and that made me flare up even more. “To hell with Austin and his feelings. I have a feeling too. You have a feeling; what about that?” I yelled at him and then teleported to my room.

When I arrived, I took out a bottle of dry gin from the bar, uncapped the bottle, and took a swig of it. The harsh taste of the gin burned my throat, causing a frown to appear on my face. I took another gulp into my mouth before falling back on my seat. So many thoughts buzzed in my head, coupled with the constant howling of my wolf.

I knew I had to do something, but what can I do? Leo was right about Austin's feelings. Austin has never loved this much; he was never lucky with love, and I wondered what he would do if he gets to know that the woman he loved was the mate of his elder brothers. I know that will shatter his heart and probably be bad for his health, but what can we do? We can't keep this secret forever.

With a heavy sigh, I took more gulps of my drink. After emptying the bottle, I stood on my feet and decided to take a bath. I walked into the shower, stood in the running water, and let the cold water splash on me.

After bathing, I turned off the shower, tied a towel around my waist, and walked back into my room. I stood before the mirror and loosened my towel as I applied lotion on my body. Suddenly, the door of my room opened, and I turned because I knew it was only Leo who would enter my room without knocking. Surprisingly, it wasn't Leo; it was Olivia.

“Goodness,” she stared at me with stunned eyes, staring at my naked body. When she noticed she was staring, she looked away. “What are you doing in my room?” she asked, and I raised a brow at her, but didn't bother to cover myself. I wasn't bothered being naked before her; at least I was proud of what was between my thighs.

“Why are you in my room?” she asked again while looking away. “Excuse me, this is my room. I think you are in the wrong room,” I said, and she frowned, looking at me, but she only looked at my face. I watched her look around the room with a confused brow. “Shit,” she said, and I scoffed. “Your room is the second door on the third floor. This is the second room on the fourth floor,” I explained, and she shook her head. Without saying a word, she hurried out of my room.

A smirk appeared on my face as her reaction played in my head. “You should think of doing something,” my wolf snapped at me, and I released a heavy sigh.

After dressing up, I went downstairs for breakfast and met everyone in their usual seats. I took my seat across Leo, who didn't look my way. Instead, his eyes were on his phone, as if he was going through something important. “Your sister will be here soon; her flight just took off,” Mother announced, and I nodded.

I looked in Olivia's direction, and our eyes met, but she was quick to look away. It was obvious she was uncomfortable because of what had happened in my room. A smirk appeared on my face when I realized that I was having such an effect on her; at least that was a good sign.

As we all sat silently eating, I still noticed Leo's eyes on his phone, and that got me curious. Leo wasn't a phone addict; in fact, he barely touched his phone. So I was curious about what might have kept him so glued to his phone.

“Mother, father, brothers, everyone, I have an announcement to make,” Austin spoke, drawing everyone's attention. Even Leo, who had been busy on his phone, looked at Austin, curious to know what he had to say.

He smiled at Olivia, who smiled back at him, and then he looked at us. “Olivia and I have decided to get married in a month's time,” he said, and my jaw dropped as I dropped my spoon.
