Chapter 1

"Sister Tessa, maybe it's possible even for one day? I can wash your clothes as long as you don't throw me out."

“Oh, Celeste. It is not possible for you to stay here, the new renter of your room is already here and she gave an advance payment for this month so you really have to leave."

"Sister Tessa, I have nowhere else to go…please."

"I'm sorry Celeste.." I almost depressed because there was no hope, I had to find a place to stay again. My shoulders slumped when I reached the room where I was staying, I dropped my body and then let the tears that I had been holding back fall. Am I as bad as before when alive so this is happening to me now? What are my fault and I am being tortured like this?

"Maybe my behavior was bad in my past life, fate is bitter to me! What a life!”

I woke up from my bed when I heard a loud noise coming from downstairs. I peeked out the window and the group of gossips about the new renter opened up to me. They are putting together the new renter things which is said to be the new user of my room.

*knock*knock*

"Just a moment." I immediately left the window and peeked at the person at the door.

"Sister Tessa, have you changed your mind-"

"I'm really sorry Celeste, but the new tenant of your room has arrived – she’s downstairs…"

"Yes, sister Tessa, I saw it, I'm just going to organize my things for a moment." Sister Tessa nodded at me shyly. Even I am ashamed and grateful because she gave me a place to stay when I really needed it. Sister Tessa was kind to me, the only thing that I hate about her is she increased my payment, especially when she said that I would pay the rent in the next month - when I first thought that I was relieved, it turned out that sister Tessa increased my rent.

I took my big bag and put all my clothes, in one bag were my necessities. Then I fixed the bed and it's embarrassing for the new user that they might say ‘you're a woman but you don’t know how to fix it', right?

"Hey, what a life I have..." I looked around the room, I wanted to be dramatic right now but I’m worried because my face would look haggard when I came out, so I didn’t make a dramatic moment. I took my bags and left the room, my neighbors as well as the new tenant looked at me. I caught their attention for a moment but immediately turned their attention back to the new tenant. There's no denying that she is beautiful, I guess this is really my time to leave, I went straight down the stairs and met sister Tessa.

"Sister Tessa."

"Celeste, I'm really sorry. If I'm the only one who can give instructions, I won't let you go."

"It's okay sister Tessa, one more thing you might be responsible for if you don't follow what you were ordered."

"As long as Celeste, if you need anything you can tell me- but don't be sudden, you know I'm also a bit short." Sister Tessa and I hugged and she gave me another reminder, she also handed it to me at first I didn't accept it but sister Tessa was really pushy and stuffed it inside my pants pocket so I couldn't do anything yet.

"My only warning, Celeste, is to be careful, call me when you're settled so that somehow I can feel better."

"Alright sister Tessa, I'm leaving. Take care, too." I finally went down the stairs and when I was at the gate, I faced sister Tessa's place again to wave.

"Take care!" She screamed, I got out of the gate and started walking.

I've been walking for hours and I don't know where I ended up.

"My foot hurts!" I sat on a big rock that was on the side of the road far before I reached the city, I would have liked to take a taxi because I didn't have enough money with me. I just leaned against the tree and because of the tiredness of walking I didn't realize that I had closed my eyes.

"Hey dude, I was the one who saw her first."

"Later!"

"Be quiet, maybe someone will hear us."

I was distracted by the noise I heard and I felt a warm palm caressing my thigh, I wanted to remove that hand but my hands were still frozen. Gradually, my vision became brighter and three men appeared in front of me. One was on top of me while holding my legs together and the other two with it were on each side of me holding my hand.

"L-let me go.."

"Wait a minute Ms. It's good, we'll just have a moment.." he smiled so I struggled even more.

"Just take my things-I can't give you anything anymore, have some pity on me." My tears fell one after the other. They still didn't move and tore my clothes one by one, the cold breeze touched my skin as the man on top of me pulled the blouse I was wearing.

"It looks like you take good care of your body…porcelain, complexion, what a beautiful young lady…"

"Hurry up… you talk a lot." A man on my left said as he tightly clings to me. I tried to struggle again when I felt the hand of the man in front of me, it went up and up until it reached the button of the pants I was wearing.

I raised one of my legs so that I could easily kick his front. He retreated and writhed in pain, the two of its companions immediately let go of me so I quickly stood up and ran without carrying my things.

The word run kept repeating itself in my mind, until I heard footsteps one after another.

"There! Hurry up!" As soon as I walked into the forest where the whole environment was dark, dense, muddy and silent, nothing else could be heard but my sobs, heavy breaths and the footsteps of my feet as I ran away.

“O-ouch!” I writhed in pain when my foot got caught in a big vein that I didn't notice, I immediately hid in a big tree and covered my mouth so as not to make any noise.

"Where are you?"

"She's gone, she might even enter the middle courtyard of the forest."

"Let's not follow her, it's dangerous here in the forest."

I heard their footsteps walking away until I could no longer hear anything, I first looked to see if they had really left and I immediately stood up and picked up a long piece of wood that was used as a walking stick. I wanted to go back to the road but I’m scared in case those men were waiting for me to return there. I continued walking until I reached an old house.

'A house? In the middle of the forest? Who will live here…ghost? Ghost? Or maybe a vampire.'

I backed away when I heard some rustling, I prepared the wood I was holding as a strike in case something suddenly appeared in front of me. A few minutes passed but I didn't see anything so my whole system calmed down and sat on the edge of the stairs and rested there..

Grrr..

What is it? I looked around but I couldn't see anything because it was dark.

Grrrrr..

The noise got louder and louder until it was a series of roars. I froze in my seat while hugging the wood I was carrying.

"W-who's there?" I trembled as a pair of eyes stared at me. I swallowed my saliva one after the another, even though it was dark I could see the glare of his eyes looking at me.

"P-please don't...I'm not good taste." I plead. When it didn't move I retreated towards the door of the house. When I got to it, I immediately touched the handle but it wouldn't open. I was sweating profusely while opening the door in a panic.

"Alright…open up, d*mn it! Please help!” I almost cried because I didn't know what to do.

Grrrrrrr!!

I turned in its place when it roared for a long time, my heart almost stopped beating when it jumped in my direction and I couldn't do anything but block my arms from my face and all I felt was the burying of the its teeth on my shoulder.
