Don't blow my cover.

Opening the door, Christiana stood in front of her.

"I forgot my handbag and umbrella at your house."

"So sorry for the inconvenience." Her voice was laced with remorse.

Staring at her, Daisy Hunter said," What, No, it's really okay…I too forget my stuff in people's homes."

Daisy Hunter said, smiling gleefully, exposing her perfect dentition.

Stepping into the dimly lit room, Christiana spotted her handbag and umbrella, grabbing it, she thanked Daisy and stepped out immediately.

Shutting the door immediately, Daisy Hunter sat on the base of her door, her face etched with confusion.

"Allison, what do you think I should do?" Daisy Hunter asked as she glared askance at her best friend.

"I actually asked you a question, Have you told Seth Nathaniel?"

"I mean even if you have decided to dump him just like how he dumped Lucy Lauren for you, you might as well tell him straight in his face."

Alison said, almost sounding as if she was taking sides with Seth Nathaniel.

Staring askance at her best friend, Daisy Hunter said.

"I really don't understand you, why do you sound as though you are taking sides with Seth Nathaniel?"

Her voice was barely above whispers, carrying a mix of confusion and concern.

Daisy's emotions were tangled in the dilemma she faced, and the weight of her decision loomed heavy.

"I'm not taking sides, Daisy. I just want what's best for you. And honesty is crucial, especially in a relationship,"

Allison explained, her tone gentle yet firm.

Daisy nodded slowly, contemplating her friend's words.

The conflict between her loyalty to Seth Nathaniel and the overwhelming temptation of the staggering proposal from her boss was tearing her apart.

"I know... I need to talk to Seth. But how do I even begin?"

Daisy sighed, her voice laden with uncertainty.

"It's going to be tough, but honesty is the only way forward. You owe him that much," Allison replied, her voice comforting.

"Alison, you know I won't even be considering this marriage contract."

"It's just I was thinking if I can get the money and help Seth Nathaniel pay up his investors at MetaX."

Daisy said as she took the marriage contract from her best friend.

Staring askance at Daisy Hunter, Alison asked, "What happened to MetaX?"

Her voice was laced with a mixture of trepidation and anxiety.

Daisy Hunter glared at her in bewilderment, finding it hard to reveal the news to her.

"Daisy, Mr Antonio Nathaniel died some weeks ago and his investors are rallying to leave the company bankrupt if Seth doesn't pay them up."

Daisy's voice was barely above whispers yet laced with concern.

"Wait a minute! Mr Antonio, the CEO of MetaX is dead?" Alison couldn't believe what she was hearing.

"This is really bad, Poor Seth, what is he going to do now?"

Alison said as she sank into the bed dressed with a bubble gum pink bedsheet.

"You see, that is the main reason why I'm considering the marriage contract."

Daisy's voice was barely above whispers.

"Now I get it, Daisy."

Alison Melody said, her voice laced with an unusual seriousness that caused Daisy to shudder.

"Whatever you do, don't lose Seth, not every one of us is privileged to have a handsome and loving man like Seth."

Alison said as she turned and covered herself up in the blanket.

"Goodnight! and make the right decision."

Alison said as she slept off.

Staring askance at her best friend lying on the bed, she only wondered what she really meant by that last statement.

As the night wore on, Daisy found herself grappling with her thoughts, oscillating between the promises made to Seth Nathaniel and the lure of a seeming opportunity with Wade Roberto's proposition.

Staring at the file lay on her bedside table, its contents a silent reminder of the pivotal decision she had to make.

The night stretched on, the minutes ticking away as Daisy lay awake, her mind in turmoil.

"I have to talk to Seth tomorrow," she resolved, her thoughts consumed by the weight of the impending conversation.

With a heavy heart and a mind filled with uncertainty, Daisy drifted into a fitful sleep, her dreams haunted by the echoes of decisions yet to be made.

************************************************

The next morning, Daisy took her bath and drove her friend to her office.

"Remember what I told you Daisy, don't jeopardize your relationship for anything."

Alison's voice was barely above whispers.

She shut the door of the car and walked up the stairs of the hospital.

Just then, Daisy Hunter's phone rang.

"Hello Seth, I was about to call you now, where are you?"

Her voice reverberated throughout the car.

"Am stepping out of the office now, can you meet me at Gage and Tollner."

Seth's voice was barely above whispers as he ran across the road with the phone etched to his ear.

"See you there in a jiffy," Daisy said as she swerved the car left and zoomed off to Gage and Tollner.

Moments later…

Daisy walks into the classic restaurant, she holds her handbag in her left hand containing the Marriage contract.

Stepping into the restaurant, a waitress directed her to a private lounge, Seth had almost read her mind and booked them a private meeting place.

"Wow, you look stunningly beautiful." Seth Nathaniel said as he hugged Daisy Hunter.

The scent of her cologne was intoxicating, a familiar aroma that always brought a sense of comfort and warmth.

Daisy smiled at Seth's compliment, her heart heavy with the weight of what she needed to discuss.

"Thank you, Seth. You look handsome as always," she replied, her voice carrying a mix of affection and apprehension.

As they settled into the plush seats of the private lounge, Seth glanced at Daisy, noticing the faint furrow in her brow, a telltale sign of the thoughts weighing on her mind.

"Daisy, is everything alright?" Seth asked, his voice gentle and laced with concern.

"Seth, I...I need to talk to you about something important."

Daisy's voice was laced with trepidation and anxiety.

"Before you say anything, there's something I want to give you," Seth said, interrupting Daisy.

He pulled out a small box from his pocket and handed it to Daisy, Smiling gleefully.

Opening it, Daisy's eyes widened in surprise as she gazed at the shimmering ring carefully placed in the box.

"Oh my God!"

Daisy's voice was vehement as she almost leapt from her chair.

"Seth, this is beautiful and very lovely."

Her voice was barely above whispers and mellifluous.

Staring at Seth, Daisy went frenzy with her emotions.

"Seth, there's something I need to tell you," Daisy started, her voice quivering slightly.

But before she could continue, their order came in.

The table was littered with many types of dishes and delicacies.

For a moment, they let the conversation shift to lighter topics, savouring the delicious meal and sharing stories that brought laughter and smiles to their faces.

The moment the plates were cleared, Daisy knew it was now or never.

"Seth, I need to be honest with you,"

Daisy finally said, her voice quaky.

She took a deep breath, the marriage contract still tucked away in her handbag.

As she began to explain the proposition from her boss, Wade Roberto, the words felt heavy on her tongue.

She recounted the offer, the staggering amount of money, and the complex situation she found herself in.

Seth listened attentively, his expression shifting from curiosity to concern.

"Daisy, this...this is a lot to take in," Seth said, his voice laced with trepidation and anxiety.

"I understand, but the main reason I'm considering it is so that we can be able to clear the debt at MetaX and save your dad's company from going bankrupt."

Daisy's voice was barely above whispers and laced with a mixture of concern and empathy.

"I understand if it's difficult for you to comprehend. It's been weighing on me too."

Daisy replied, her heart aching with the fear of disappointing him.

The situation was intense as silence enveloped the lounge.

Seth reached out, gently taking Daisy's hand in his, a silent reassurance of his support.

"This is too much, I mean why did Wade Roberto even approach you with the marriage contract?"

Seth Nathaniel asked, staring askance at the marriage contract which Daisy just produced from her bag.

"I really love you Seth and I will do everything to make you happy, but if you don't approve of this, I will drop it immediately."

Daisy's voice was barely above whispers, as she glared into his eyes.

"I trust you, but men, I don't trust."

"Although Wade Roberto is my friend, I wouldn't want you to stay with him one day, even though we really need the money urgently."

Seth's voice was slightly above Whispers as he went through the marriage contract and considered their options.

Moments later, Seth's voice broke through the silence.

"Let's give it a try."

"But promise me you will come back to me...the same way I left you."
