CHAPTER SEVEN.

The sun was not too hot, just warm and good enough for sunbathing and that was what the two women were doing. Lauren and her mother were sunbathing behind the house by the swimming pool. They were having their mother-daughter moments. They just laid there in silence, enjoying the sun and tranquility that was at the backyard.

"So Lauren honey, how is it going with Ron? When are you two getting married?" Pamela, Lauren's mother asked.

The girl turned to look at the woman. Pamela was still looking straight ahead, waiting for her answer. Lauren thought to lie to her mother, she didn't want to look like a failure. But she trashed the thought of lying, she was going to tell the woman the truth and seek advice from her too.

"Oh mother, Ron is just proving difficult to handle. He would not go out on dates with me, always talking about how busy he is." Lauren finally spoke the truth.

Her mother sighed.

"Oh honey, maybe he's been stressed. Let him take his time and then take him out on a date
